Cunnius, 43, of the 100 block of North Fourth Street pleaded no contest before Judge James M. Bucci to third-degree murder and neglect of care for a dependent person in the case.

Bucci sentenced her to four to 10 years in state prison, followed by 10 years of probation, according to a plea deal.

However, the judge noted that while many factors of the case seem intolerable, Cunnius was not equipped to be the paid caregiver for McCrimmon, who suffered from spina bifida and was wheelchair-bound.
