Bean was last seen in East Norriton Township, Pennsylvania on February 16, 1993. He was at the Facenda-Whitaker Bowling Alley at the time, but he failed to return home and has never been heard from again. Bean has weak knees and uses a walking stick, but was described as alert and well-aware of his surroundings.
Bean's neighbor reported him missing on February 27, 1993, 11 days after he was last seen. His black 1991 Ford Ranger was later found abandoned in the bowling alley's parking lot on March 1, 1993.
Bean lived in Skippack Township at the time of his disappearance. His residence at 4081 Heckler Road has since been demolished and is now the site of the Skippack Elementary School. His case is unsolved and his whereabouts remain unknown.
