I will be summarizing a post from Find Kadin Black from today 09/24, which I think is interesting. The author identifies themself as Kadin's mother.

In the post, the author lists two possible things that they believe may have happened to Kadin. The first is that he was killed. According to the author, this is because the family he'd been staying with sold his vehicle without asking his mother. The post does not include how long after he went missing that the vehicle was sold. They further explain that Kadin's phone was last at that family's home prior to being shut off due to dying and that the device has never been recovered, despite the home being searched.

The second theory the author suggests is that Kadin ran away. He did not want to return to jail. The author does not lean towards this theory because Kadin disappeared shortly before Christmas, but prior to his court date, and Kadin was aware he would be receiving money for a holiday gift. It is also pointed out that Kadin deposited a paycheck the day before and someone planning to run from the law would likely want cash. The article mentioned is straight up offensive and sounds like a defense attorney going to bat for the family he was staying with.

This kid sounds amazing and misunderstood, to be honest. The article also mentions how he & the dad of the fam he was staying with, rebuilt Kadin's car from the ground up... and Kadin's mom mentions in the post how that family just SOLD Kadin's car that Kadin's mom had gotten for him, without consulting her, while he was missing.

He appreciated what the Fousts did for him – they bought him clothes and Amy worked with him to study for his GED – but he felt guilty. “He felt he didn’t deserve what we were doing for him,” Amy said. “He couldn’t wrap his head around the fact that two people who barely knew him cared about him.”

She said, “He looked at us and our family and wondered why he couldn’t have that. He just wanted to start over and have a better life.”

That was very... audacious of Amy to say. Kadin had a great home with his mom. He just wanted to be in PA to be close to friends. Wow. Also - they "barely knew him" but he spent the majority of his time over the years hanging out with his best friend who is THEIR SON Ethan?? I am so confused by these people.

Details of Disappearance​

Black was last seen at his home on Vickilee Drive in Wrightsville, Pennsylvania. He had moved out of his father's home a few months earlier and was staying with a childhood friend and the friend's family on Vickilee Drive. He disappeared from there either late on December 17, 2022, or early on December 18.

His phone last pinged 2.4 miles from a cell tower on Old Commons Road in the Lower Windsor Township/East Prospect, Pennsylvania are at 9:28 a.m. on December 18. He missed work on December 19, at the job he had started only two weeks earlier. He has never been heard from again.

Prior to disappearance, Black attended an alternative school for students with social, emotional and/or behavior problems. In March 2022, nine months before his disappearance, he was arrested after a physical altercation with a bus driver on the way home from school. His court date was set for January 2023 and Black was worried that he would be sent to jail. His mother thinks this could be a possible motive for his disappearance.

At the time of his disappearance, Black was acting normally and didn't seem distressed. He didn't take any belongings with him except his wallet and the clothes on his back. He was close to his family and kept in regular touch with them. Foul play is not suspected in his case, but it remains unsolved.

Also - they "barely knew him" but he spent the majority of his time over the years hanging out with his best friend who is THEIR SON Ethan?? I am so confused by these people.

I agree, there is a lot of mixed messaging here. And a lot of opinions on someone you say you barely know.

PURE SPECULATION, but I get the feeling he wasn't being "seen" at either home. I am sure he could feel it.

It sounds like Kadin was misunderstood.

A source I spoke to mentioned the car sale happened 6 months after his disappearance. I have nothing to back that statement up so I admit it’s a “take it with a grain of salt” situation however they did seem to be pretty educated on the case.

Township police continue to work with several law enforcement agencies, including the York County District Attorney's Office Detective Unit to conduct interviews and follow up on leads, the department reported in a news release.

"Both agencies ... conducted hundreds of interviews and followed up on countless leads and are still looking for information on Kadin Black's possible location," township police wrote in the news release. Black unexpectedly left his family’s home on the first block of Vickilee Drive in Wrightsville late on Dec. 17 or early Dec. 18, 2022. His shoes, wallet and cellphone are missing, and some of his social media accounts were deactivated, according to Lower Windsor Township police.

Police said Black’s phone last pinged Dec. 18 on or near Old Windsor Road in the Lower Windsor/East Prospect area.
