Condolences to King's family. I truly hope he comes home very soon and is laid to rest respectfully. May justice be served.

Heartbreaking but unfortunately not unexpected.
So many fishy things, LE must have known from the beginning, hence the lack of information.
It might have been an accident and she panicked moo.
I hope mum will get the help she needs, dealing with losing King and help with her other child.

LE isn't giving the name of the suspect yet. The grandmother however says it is acquaintance of the stepfather. This could only be the babysitter, right? Because there is no mentioning of another person taking care of him, throughout this case.

I’m sick about this......I can’t believe he was killed.
I also see the sm account is gone from a certain mouthy one......the one with the chirping smoke detector.

Still no name on the babysitter? I'm "assuming" she is the suspect?

TIA!

What would have been the motive, all she had to do was give the child back she wasn't responsible for him.
Still confused by the lack of checking in on King by the other parties Moo.

Also this Canadian just learned that Philadelphia isn't a state on it's own but is in Pennsylvania .
Maybe she lost her temper and used some kind of corporal punishment, and went way too far? :(

I think she has to be, since she told that falsehood about dropping him off to Mom. At the very least, she was covering for someone. But the Mom said 'she' hurt my boy, so I think it had to be the babysitter.

Total disgrace. I will never ever understand it. It bothers me to think the way this child was passed around from person to person gave preconceived notions that his life didn't matter. Crushing news. He is a beautiful little boy.

Poor little soul

so I wonder if the stepdad knew what happened

I wonder too. Seems like maybe he thought something was wrong when he checked with the mom to ask if she had King. He was also the one to call police to report King missing, I think.

What an effed up world we live in, when you see the title changed to deceased and you're not remotely surprised.

I'm so sorry King

Whoa. Apparently when the news broke there HAD NOT been an arrest yet.
Just seeing that a reporter tweeted this 9 hours ago:
UPDATE: Police sources say an arrest is expected and has not been made yet. Family members say King’s body has not been located.

Also following thread, hope a name for the babysitter is mentioned with the investigation soon.

Little one needs to be back with his family so he can be laid to rest. Poor little soul :(

Preaching to the choir, but I see this comes up all the time and I just don't understand,if it's truly an accident you call 911. How does one accidentally kill an almost three year old? Drugs lying around? Physical abuse? Then that's more being negligent.
I'm sure you all are just frustrated as me.

As for the social media, they are all a mess. It reminds me of when cupcake was missing and there was so much misinformation and rumor. Like its entertainment :mad:

Poor King. And those that loved him. Sadly will not be the first time a non-family caretaker has committed murder if that's what this turns out to be.

And when a child is in the care of some unrelated, unvetted, non-professional-caregiver person for weeks at a time, who knows what other people have had access to the child.

I keep struggling to find the words to express my grief, but the right words seem impossible to find.

I am thinking of the Hill family and hope that comfort and peace will find them during this difficult time.

Fly high young King!
