Medical: bi-polar but had stopped taking her meds while pregnant with her second child, a daughter born two weeks prior to her disappearance.

Circumstances

Kristin was last seen on Wednesday, September 6, 2006, at around 6:30 pm when her mother dropped her off at an AA meeting on MacDade Boulevard in Glenolden, Delaware County.

Kristin had a history of addiction to both drugs and alcohol but had been attending meetings and living in Darby Twp with an aunt who was helping her to take care of her newborn daughter.
On or around September 8th, Kristin's boyfriend at the time called her mother and said that he had Kristin and she was flipping out. Her mother told the boyfriend to get Kristin a cab to come home. Kristin never returned and the boyfriend never called again to ask about her.

Sometime after that last call, Kristin's family found out that the boyfriend had a website for escorts catering to the tri-state area. The also reportedly learned that he had purchased a variety of products including sodium hydroxide (lye, caustic soda, drain cleaner), a 14" chain saw and Blue Blood Tracker blood detection kits.
Despite Kristine's troubled past, she was a daughter, a sister and a young mother. In addition to her newborn, she also had a son, four years old when she disappeared. It is unlikely that she would be gone for any length of time without contacting someone in her family.

Kristin graduated from Our Lady of Fatima School and attended Academy Park High School until 10th grade. She was a constant runaway as a juvenile, a source said. Her first child, a son, was born six years ago. His father was beaten to death, West said.

Kristin gave birth to her second child on Aug. 29, a girl, two weeks before her disappearance.

Kristin's mother said she dropped her daughter off at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting on MacDade Boulevard in Glenolden about 6:30 p.m. on or about Sept. 6, 2006.

"She was so happy because she was doing very good, trying to stay away from the alcohol and stuff because she just had a baby," West said.

Her boyfriend called one or two nights later and said, "I have your daughter and she's flipping out," according to West. Kristin was screaming and yelling, she recalled.

"I said send her a cab in Philadelphia. Then he said, 'I'll get her a cab,'" she said.

The boyfriend, whose name is being withheld, usually drove her home after such episodes, but after that phone call, he never called again to ask about her whereabouts, West said.

One city officer had known Kristin and arrested her once for her own protection, he said. She was known to frequent Front and York streets to get drugs.

She was arrested in Philadelphia several times on drug offenses, a law enforcement source said. She was also wanted on a warrant issued Feb. 24, 2006, in Philadelphia on a prostitution charge.

Kristin's aunt called the boyfriend about a year ago (2007) and he told her, "You might as well stop calling. You'll never find the body," her mother said.

It's so sad when someone is just given up on because they have a problem with drugs or alcohol . They still matter and still have family members who love them . And this woman had a two week old!

Sounds like he quite possibly dismembered her, based on the chainsaw purchase. This poor poor girl. I can’t believe more wasn’t done...slipped through the cracks. It’s unfortunate the BF isn’t mentioned...wish we could sleuth him.

Hi, I have been focusing on a Jane Doe case from Brielle NJ from June 15, 2008. The unidentified woman was hit by a train at 1:40am on Fisk Rd. I know this is two years after Kristin's disappearance, but if there are currently no big leads it wouldn't hurt to look into this woman hit by the train. The train was the main line that runs up the coast to NY and branches off to Philadelphia. Her bag had a lighter, toothbrush, and area maps in it. She had a rosary around her neck and a bracelet of saint pictures. She was white and said to have hazel eyes, but initial accounts say they were blue/grey. She wore a red sweatshirt with a white t-shirt on top, black jeans with zippers on the sides, and a brown/black cloth bag (old looking) that said New York. She wore white adidas shoes with the three black stripes. Her fingernails were short and painted silver with two thin white lines that touched to a point at the top of the nail like so /\ ... All these details can be found if you look up the Brielle NJ Jane Doe 2008. There is even a post-mortem photograph of the side of her face and a composite sketch.
