Found Deceased PA - Leanna Walker, 17, Milford Township, 25 April 2016

Leanna left her Milford home at 2 p.m. on April 18, and her mother hasn't seen or heard from her since. Walker said she waited five hours for Leanna to return after her departure with Sky McDonough, 24, before calling police. Having been involved with Leanna for about three months, McDonough had talked about killing her if she ended their relationship. She previously had him removed by police. On April 18, he returned to her house. She told him to leave, and he left with Leanna.

When Walker called police at 7 p.m., a state trooper came to her Sunrise Lakes home.

“They felt there was no reason for an amber alert, because Leanna left willingly,” said Walker.

State police followed up on Walker's report by conducting interviews.

Walker said she later spoke with McDonough on the phone, on April 23, when his father urged him to talk to her. He and his father were at a barbecue and bonfire in Milford. McDonough told her that Leanna was not with him because her feet had blisters from walking in the woods. Walker said she urged state police and then Milford police to arrest McDonough based on a New Jersey warrant for burglary and trespassing charges, but to no avail.

A Milford policeman said he responded to a report that McDonough was in a house belonging to his father on the day of the barbecue, but by the time DaSilva arrived, McDonough had disappeared.
"If we don't see him, we can't arrest him," said DaSilva.

McDonough was captured by state police on April 26 in woods near where he had been camping off Foster Hill Road. He remains in Pike County Correctional Facility on $250,000 bail.

Walker said that police told her they found clothing belonging to Leanna when they arrested him. She has not been allowed to see the clothing. “In my eyes, there’s no proof she was there,” said Walker.
Devens said that police cannot reveal evidence.

A search of the woods with dogs and helicopters immediately after McDonough's arrest did not reveal Leanna's whereabouts. On Tuesday, state police conducted another search with dogs, with "negative results," Devens said.

No updates on his charges? The articles from right when she was found deceased said that he was already in jail for unrelated charges and was now being held as a person of interest in Leanna's death. But I haven't seen anything about him being charged with kidnapping or murder yet. So very sad- she was very young and it sounds like she'd been afraid of him for a while.
