GUILTY PA - Linda Stoltzfoos, 18, murdered, Bird-in-Hand, Lancaster County, 21 June 2020 *arrest* #4

Any chance JS went to Welsh mountain initially but couldn't find isolated spot since it may have been busy? Then left to find an alternative spot instead?
I think that is entirely possible, @lex8396. See post #72 by @Trackergd and also my posts #79 and #80.

MOO - Five minutes behind a church, small car, tall victim. I can't see how he could have assaulted her in the car. Yes, she was likely terrified and passive, and he is a former wrestler who visited the gym, so stronger, but still. The logistics are problematic. Very visible if in the front seat, also small space, back seat required getting out of the car and into the back. Also a small space.
If it wasn't for the complaint saying he came back from Welsh Mtn alone - and what is that based on? - I'd say he assaulted her at Harvest Road. Familiar place, and as Lex8396 mentioned, Welsh Mtn may have been too busy.
I read the complaint section #41 as saying he went to his home and washed his car alone. I do not see it as saying he came back from Welsh Mtn alone.

I’m reading it a little differently @Maryland Oracle.
#41 in the complaint talks about JS abducting her, driving her around, but only mentions that he is alone when he is home washing his car. LE have released no witness statements after the 13:30 sightings so they may not have any, but are relying on cell data as to where he went.

I assume they are being careful with the wording. Eastern Lancaster County to include remote areas of the Welsh Mtn are listed as where he transported her. The next sentence "JS then travelled back to the area of 3104 Harvest Drive" appears to indicate the transportation of LS had ended.

Sure, it could go either way. They specifically said he washed his car alone. They did not say he traveled to Harvest Dr alone. Since they have not found her body, LE may not even know if he was alone when he left Welsh Mtn. Unfortunately, she could have been in the trunk when he left the area.

Given the small window of opportunity between the Peters and Red Well Road sighting and the cell phone ping at Harvest Drive, the trunk looks like a pretty good scenario. Hopefully there was a really good forensics evaluation of the trunk area. I have a nagging feeling that there was more at the Harvest Drive location that either was not noted in the Criminal Complaint, or was not discovered by the forensics team.

Assuming again that the Complaint is carefully worded and meticulously proofed, paragraph 26 is perhaps more informative than I had first thought. I'd already noted that, in addition to cell phone records, video surveillance from Harvest Drive also was used to determine the 8 times JS was there.

The words that jumped out at me today are "and/or". Does this mean surveillance recorded the Kio Rio in some of the visits but not all? Was his presence recorded using cell phone records ONLY for the other visits because he came by foot along the railway tracks or in a vehicle other than the Kia?

Sure, could be either/or. And don’t forget #22. When JS arrived at 3104 Harvest Dr on the 23rd, it was 5:00 p.m. He was probably trying to make sure the business was closed and no one was around. That location houses Harvest Structures. They make sheds, garages etc. They close at 4:30 every day except they are closed on Sunday. The photos make it difficult to determine where he “backed in by the railroad tracks”. I’m thinking that the lots for the business look different all the time, depending on the number of sheds they have in inventory.
I’m also thinking that the witness on that day may actually have been someone who worked at the King Painting and Wallpapering place next door. That business closes at 5:00 p.m. M-F and is closed Saturday and Sunday.
So, on the 21st when LS was taken, both businesses were closed and he spent a little over an hour in back. From the street view photo, it looks like the mostly densely treed area would be to the left as you face the buildings.
@Trackergd, one one of your road trips have you noticed where the surveillance cams are on either of these businesses?
I’m really not understanding all those trips to this location. Did he bury something nearby besides the bra and stockings and keep going back to try to move it? Was he trying to see if the place was being surveilled? LE learned JS’s identity and vehicle info around 7/8. They did not find the find the bra and stockings until 7/10. That was 2 1/2 weeks after the abduction. A lot can happen in 2 1/2 weeks.

All good questions. I'll have to go back and see if I can spot any CCTV cameras. Hard to get in there without being obvious. "Hi, just looking at some sheds, Thanks!"

To throw away the floor mats and wash the car, I'd say he had some substance... limestone or some sort of dirt/powder residue that was from the area where he assaulted LS or concealed her body. I understand that strands of hair, body fluids, etc. could be on the mats but the thing that would catch his eye quickly would be whatever he tracked into the car. He likely tracked something into his car after doing whatever he did. He likely had the dirt, limestone, cow manure, whatever it was, in his tire treads, under his wheel wells and along the bottom of the car.

The witness was the owner of Harvest Structures. I've often lamented the failure of the trooper to arrive whilst JS was still there.

Speaking of limestone....... Look what is right up the road from Welsh Mtn.

I wonder who reads up on WS.

I say this because a few weeks ago (12/22) I posted some pics from Google Maps of what looked like could have been a newly dug up grave, and just now I went back to GM to start looking again and POOF I can no longer see the barren mountains! The mountains are now filled with green trees full of leaves. WTFork man!

I guess TPTB won’t allow me to actually see the barren mountains anymore.

This leads me to believe that I found something that they didn’t want the public to see. But what do I know. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

A quarry has been mentioned further back in this thread. I wonder if this company has gates closed after hours and cameras?

Surely LE has already looked into this location.

Well isn't that interesting. I think lime can be used to speed up decomposition?

Thats not necessarily true. There are different types of lime, but a Belgium study of cadaver pigs buried with 3 different limes showed that it actually slowed decay up to six months.
Effects of hydrated lime and quicklime on the decay of buried human remains using pig cadavers as human body analogues - ScienceDirect
and
New Morbid Terminology: Quicklime
However, killers often put lime in graves or containers with bodies thinking it will speed up decomposition. So there’s that.

I believe it was one of the first places searched in that area.
