PA - Man attacks Coatesville police officer with rock, caught on dash cam video

"He proceeds to try to pull the vehicle, notices in the rearview mirror this person is actually running towards his vehicle so he tries to give a little more distance between himself and the suspect. He gets out of the vehicle and the suspect attacks him," Coatesville Police Lt. Jim Audette said.

Police say the suspect, identified as 29-year-old Eric Watson, a Jamaican immigrant, tried to strike Officer Davis on the head with the large rock. Other officers responded.

The suspect, 29-year-old Eric Watson, allegedly tried to hit the officer in the head with the rock and then resisted arrest until backup officers arrived on scene and took him to the ground.

Watson was arraigned Tuesday morning for aggravated assault on a police officer, institutional vandalism, resisting arrest and other related crimes, according to the police department. He is being held at the Chester County Prison on $100,000 bail.

The officer suffered a broken sternum during the altercation and is now recovering, police say.

This insane madness is never going to stop. Its too out of control now like a deadly virus sweeping the nation. Like I mentioned the other day, I cant even keep up with all the cops who are being shot or assaulted in some manner.
