Please let this young man be ok.
Rooting for him to reach out to his family soon. I think it's actually really common to struggle hard mentally in college. People feel alone or feel like they are failing, but they aren't the only ones going through it. Life can be extremely hard, but please talk to your parents and let them help you. When you're young, there are still many different paths you can go on to take. Let someone help you find the path for you.
Really worried about this young man. Never having went to college I have no idea what goes on.
My sibling went to Penn and I KNOW the rest of us got a lecture at home. If his behavior changed IF he came home it's because he was now in the big league. High School he was the big league. Again small fish in a big sea.
He lived in the Quad and was Blessed a childhood friend was a dorm mate. Later he was in the most prestigious fraternity at Penn.
Long winded but I do remember a few times him coming home on the El moody. My dad explained he was the son of a cop around people from old money. Cut him a break. The curriculum was tough.
However he never split. Called home hardly ever. Would meet me in town and I believe be a tad embarrassed by my animal print body body suits and leather skirts.
Life. AT Matthew's age. It can go anywhere. Embarrassed. New people. Problems he had prior? Anything. A sassy embarrassing sibling? They don't get life goes on and it will get better.
If I could say to him "Yo, I went to shopping center college at 30" (CCP) and it gets better. I'd hope it helps. His mom was on my mind all night.
He’s 19, not 20.Agree. And I'm wondering, since he started late at age 20, if he is just really unsure if college is even for him?
Aweeee, nice post. Same here I’ve been checking constantly for updates. News this morning said the college is doing a search today. I’m really hoping since he took a back pack with him, he was planning on going somewhere.Really worried about this young man. Never having went to college I have no idea what goes on.

Oh no, what does it say? Please paraphrase - I'm geolocked out.
Mother said he’s 19, not 20. I’m totally puzzled why he was wearing a hoodie. I was out walking at the time he went missing and it’s been super humid and hot. Leaving at 8:10 at night with a back pack makes me think he took off, hoping that’s the case.
