The family of a former Newton woman has not heard from her since September after police say she took off with her boyfriend who allegedly assaulted her during a violent altercation where he stabbed her with a screwdriver, threw her cats out a window and abandoned her dog.

Megan Dalrymple, 33, who previously attended a local high school but whose latest town of residence is Carbondale, Pa., fled with Christopher Skorets, 19, of Vandling, Pa., from their apartment within days after the Forest City (Pa.) Police Department, which covers the borough of Vandling, were called to the home on Sept. 20 during the alleged assault....

Under a post on the Forest City Police Department's Facebook page indicating Skorets had been apprehended by Virginia police officers, a woman who identified herself as Dalrymple's sister stated, "It's not over yet, my sister is still missing she was with him please help find her she was a victim."

Look thru Christopher Skorets page and its unbelievable the thoughts that went thru my head. Looked at his numerous charges and animal cruelty is the least of them... I wonder if she is in PA or VA..

According to Lackawanna County Court Records a Protection from Abuse Order was served against her by a Lackawanna County Deputy Sheriff at 11:50am on October 10th, 2018 at the Mercy Hospital in Scranton, PA - I assume she was a patient.

That record can be found by search Lackawanna County Family/Civil Cases under her former married name - Megan Repsher.

It is unclear to me that she is still missing since the Sheriff's Office located her to serve her.

Her former husband lives/lived in Phillipsburg, NJ (Warren County) but the two of them and the kids had also lived in Sussex County.

She was charged with drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, and obstruction of justice 8/13/2018 (LACKAWANNA County Court). That may explain why she took off, but not why she is still missing.

She isn't missing at all for months now. She was served with an order of protection against her while in the Mercy Hospital in Scranton. The document shows her address where she was currently living - after this whole episode with the Skorets guy - and that is her mother's address.

The docket sheet for the court case related to drug possession shows that she went through court and was sentenced. She is currently paying the fines and costs. The bottom of the docket sheets shows that she made a $50.00 payment on February 4th and a $200.00 payment on March 4th.
