Found Safe PA - Meryl Weimer, Altoona, 25 June 2017

Police said Meryl Thomas Weimer was last seen on Sunday at his residence in Altoona.

Officials said Weimer is diagnosed schizophrenic who has stopped taking his medication in the last several months.

He described as being approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall. He wears an old green hat and carries a backpack.

Went missing again. And was located again.

Missing Altoona man found Thursday

ALTOONA, Pa. - A man who had been missing since April 21 in Altoona was found safe.

Altoona police said Meryl Wiemer was found around 1 p.m. Thursday near a wooded area in Bellemeade.

Police said Wiemer was disoriented and dehydrated and was taken to the hospital for further treatment, but is expected to recover.
