I thought this unidentified gal looked similar to this OK gal who went missing one year before on Valentines Day. Meredith Medina:

A relative of Meredith Medina commented earlier in this thread on the possible match. They have been in contact with authorities, but I don't know if there was a resolution. Rule-outs based on possible matches submitted to LE don't always appear on the NamUs rule-out list.

Carl,
Thank you for merging my thread. I looked before posting but I think I was concentrating on looking for the namus numbers, but I realize now that this case was posted before the case was available in namus (2010). There are 3 rule outs currently on the namus site but Meredith is not one of them:

Tracy Kroh 1972 Pennsylvania
Beverly Potts 1941 Ohio
Beverly Sharpman 1930 Pennsylvania

Does the OP have any updates from LE regarding their Meredith suspicions/ rule out?

None that I am aware of.

LE ruled out Meredith by dental comparison, according to her relative. They were supposed to send it to an Odontologist to be certain, but I haven't heard anything more. For some reason, however, I do not put 100% faith in these quick comparisons.

Does anyone think Misty Mock missing since 1989 on NaMus could be a match to Penny Doe?

See the new photo in Namus?

They also changed her age from 20-40 and her height to 58 inches. Interesting!

Then maybe they should look at Dawn Mozino

She is listed as 4'10" (58 inches) and 23 years old. Spot on to the revised description.

The distance between Bryn Mawr to Monroe is about 170 miles

The time lag between her date Last Known Alive (22-May-89) and discovery 22-Jul-90 is 14 months.

She also has similarly crowded teeth, and the fanged right canine (#6). The front left incisor doesn't look as squared on the corners though

Carl -- I think it's a good match, definitely suggest it!

I kicked off an e-mail to Emily Craig. Dawn's dentals are contained in her NamUs MP casefile, so this should be an easy comparison.

ETA: She was last seen wearing a maroon vest.

The UID was described as wearing a "floral vest". Dawn's grey skirt and white shirt don't match the jeans and black button-up shirt though.

She went unidentified this long, I think it's worth a shot!!

I think you may have a match. She was last seen wearing a maroon vest in 1989. I am sure she changed her clothes between 1989 and 1990 :) Sometimes people just take off thinking the grass is greener. We may not know what makes people take off without saying a word. She may have left her family and ended up in Monroe County at some point. Anyway, I am sure she would have changed her clothes between the last time she was seen by those who reported her "missing," and the time (if it is Dawn) she ended up dead in a creek bed.

Not to nitpik, but the distance from Bryn Mawr to Monroe Twp, Clarion County is around 300 miles, give or take, depending on route. There are several Monroes in PA (Twp, Boro, County). Google Maps defaulted to Monroe Twp in Bradford County which is about 170 miles, but not the right location.

Thanks Carl! Someone knows who this girl is. They wrote to law enforcement once. Maybe their conscious will get to them again. This girl has gone far too long to be not buried properly, and to not have a name. So sad!

Is there a link to the letter? Or was it even ever published?

The letter was not published. It is mentioned on the Pennsylvania Missing Website or the Doe Network.

NamUs has her age listed as being between 20-40 and The Doe Network has her listed as being between 15-22... That's a big difference!!!!

Namus used to have it listed as 15-22 as well. I think they may have done a recent autopsy on the remains because Namus also mentions a deformity in the sternum.
