Hello. I joined today specifically because of the Nalani case. Just praying so hard for this little girl to be found safely. I've been following this thread as a guest, but I also wanted to be able to comment/ask questions.
It's obvious LE is withholding a lot of information from the public, surely to not compromise their investigation and ultimately to find Nalani and return her safely to her family. A couple of things that have stuck out to me and I haven't seen mention in this thread.
LE is asking for the public's help in locating the car seat. This suggests to me that they may have video of the car seat in Nancy's car but without Nalani. OR, they possibly have video of a hand off without a car seat??? She drove as far east as Blairsville and returned, yet the search at this time does not appear to be focused on the Blairsville area,. I would think she drove as far away as possible to discard of the car seat and returned home. If you look at the map kindly provided earlier by another poster, Blairsville (although I know we don't have a precise location) just happens to be right where Route 22 passes over the Conemaugh River. Another reason I suspect LE has some video evidence to support where they are focusing the search efforts.
Also, sometimes even in deceit a little truth is offered. She claims she was instructed to drive for 20 minutes and meet someone at a gas station along 22. This is precisely how long it would have taken to get to the Murrysville Sheetz. So, if she really did hand the child off and was afraid someone had seen her/video captured her, then of course she thinks she has an out by placing blame on someone else trying to save her own butt. I obviously don't believe her story at all, but I do think this is likely where Nalani could have been exchanged.
One other thing, if LE believes that Nalani was dropped off/hidden somewhere along that route by herself, I find it hard to believe that they wouldn't be making an appeal to the public to assist them in an all out organized search as time would certainly not be on her side out there on her own.
Finally, I haven't seen anybody mention that her husband has said she travels between Pittsburgh and India frequently, spending months there at a time, having recently only returned on the 18th. I find it hard to believe, although not completely out of the realm of possibility, that she could afford to pay rent in Pittsburgh, support her family, and go without income for so long. Just found that odd.
Hopefully we will find out more at 1:00.
