Nicolas Marcel Santin

Family Abduction

Missing From: Steelton, Pennsylvania

Missing Since: December 17, 2005

Age: 12 -- Height: 5'3" -- Weight: 125 lbs -- Hair Color: Brown -- Eye Color: Hazel

Nicolas' nickname is Nico. He wears eyeglasses.

Nicolas lived with his mother in Steelton, Pennsylvania in 2005. That December, his grandfather, Andres Arguera Santin, asked to take Nicolas to El Salvador to visit relatives for Christmas. Nicolas and Andres crossed from Mexico into Guatemala on December 21, but their family in El Salvador said neither of them arrived as scheduled. There are no records of them leaving Guatemala. Investigators believe that Andres intentionally abducted Nicolas.

Andres was born in 1943. He is a Hispanic male, 5'7" and 200 pounds, with black hair and black eyes. He has multiple alias names and dates of birth. They may be in New York City, Mexico, Guatemala, or El Salvador.

It says that Andres died in 2005, was he declared dead? What happened to Nicolas?

I question how accurate that is. He took Nic towards the end of Dec 2005. He would've had to have died within a few weeks

It's probably just a circa 2005 thing that they do when declaring somebody dead in absentia.
Based on some archived threads, they were still missing in 2007 and it looked bleak bc there was absolutely no activity from them. But Nico is no longer in NCMEC or Charley Project.

I searched for Nicolas Marcel Santin a few minutes ago on the Charley Project website, and it said that the page couldn’t be found, but the profile on NamUS was still up. Has he been found? What about his grandfather?

I asked NCMEC about him a few weeks ago. He's not publicly listed on the NCMEC site anymore, but he's still missing.
