I had been meaning to do this for a while but kept putting it off. I was one of the 2 people who were with him last. Patrick (Patty to me) was my best friend and I lived in the apartment right next door. Unfortunately, for those of us close to him, this is all but solved. His body was never found but he jumped from the bridge.
I had noticed in the months before this he started acting odd but nothing too concerning. The night before he had rang my doorbell at 2 in the morning and when I looked out the window, I saw him walking away towards the bridge. By the time I got out there he was across the street. He was confused and I brought him back to my place where he slept the night on my couch. The next morning he seemed back to normal again. I was with him all day and we went out to eat. During that time he went back to his place a few times like everything was ok. Then later that night at our other friends apartment, he left to go back again to charge his phone. About a half hour later we noticed he left his keys. We then checked his apartment and he wasn't there.
When he left, he went right to the bridge. The police have footage of him on the bridge taking of his jacket and glasses. He then steps up on the ledge, goes behind a pillar and is never seen again. His body was never found. I've checked the found body reports for all bodies found in the ohio river so at least as of a few months ago, he's still officially missing.
I like reading about unsolved mysteries myself. So I figured if I can solve one, I might as well.
