Well,I don't know what to say.I just watched this cold case show.It made me cry.I do feel I was led to him for a reason.I just don't know why yet.I do care about this little boy very much.I do feel something like this happened.But I do not feel he was in a place like this for awhile with nuns first.I feel he was just getting into a place.I just don't know if it was a foster home.(I do know they will put a child in a foster home untill parental ties are severed and then they will put the child in a orphanage or children's home or institution.)I do feel papers were possibly falsified like this cold case show suggest.I do not know if the place ever said this child was adopted out.They might have just said nothing at all.I feel he may have been one of the ones waiting to be put in a state run institution or children's home or orphanage.some one may have put him up for adoption.I'm not convinced it was nuns he was put with.The people he was put with may have looked like the Good Samaritan witness saw a heavy set woman around 40sh with a boy(I do believe it was a boy and not a girl.I do not believe M's story at all)around 12 to 14 years old that was about her height.Does any one remember people that matched those descriptions in foster care,childrens homes or orphanages.

They may have falsified records at the institutions.But I don't think they could in the court house.There had to be relinquishment papers probably to the state or the institution.I do know this.This is not something I ever wanted to know about and don't want to look into again.But I will for this sweet little boy.He does deserve it.I feel the answers to this little boys real name will possible be in the court house somewhere or an anouncement legally in the newspaper of his adoption.I do feel someone is looking for him.Just not dead.

Are there any police officers,retired police or investigators that know this detective work better than me and know what they are doing to REALLY investigate this sweet little boys case again.ANYONE that cares to give this little one at least his name.I strongly feel his case can be solved and his " REAL NAME " be given back to him.

If he wasn't adopted or turned over to be adopted out by someone.I was thinking this little boy in the box was malnourished. I still believe he could have been removed by the home by DHS Child Welfare.Which is why I did ask about the Manayunk, Pennsylvania couple.They did come forward to see if this was their little boy.They could have been lied to that by the orphanage he was there when he wasn't.I do believe this little boy died possibly in such a place.I still want to know who that little boy was and who these people were.I still think that little boy should be checked again.



There was another lead to Remington Bristow the medical examiners office in 1984.An Anonymous letter was written to him about a family in Pottstown that a father was charged several times with neglect.Does anyone know more on this story or who these people were.


Please help this little boy get his name if you can.Please don't give up on him.Someone knows who he is.

Unidentified Pennsylvania Couple - In March 1957, a Manayunk, PA couple told detectives they thought the boy might be their 6-year-old son, whom they had last seen seven months earlier when he was placed in an orphanage by the Municipal Court. The mother said the boy "looks like him" and the father said he wasn't "too sure." A team of detectives later found the boy in a private orphanage in West Philadelphia.



This little boy put in this orphanage has really been bothering me alot.I keep thinking about him.I would like to know who these people were and the name of this little boy put into the orphanage.I feel the orphanage possibly lied to LE the little boy was there when he wasn't.I feel this little boy should be seriously looked into again.I need help finding out who he was and where he is today.I would like to turn this in as a serious lead.But I can't get a hold of anyone.I need help.

I wonder if the boy put in a private West Philadelpia orphanage was put in ST Johns Orphanage.Was st Johns a private orphanage? I mentioned awhile back the little boy in the box did look to me like the hair cuts they were given.In this link the hair cut with the boys praying by the beds.I just don't know where the bassinet would fit in.Unless it was thrown away near St john orphanage.

Just thinking outloud after reading this whole thread. Maybe this boy was a kidnapped victim. I wonder if there are any matching kids missing from the same year...or the year before in far away states?

Reading this thread kind of reminds me of the whole Steven Stayner story. A young boy aducted and held capative. Maybe a kidnapper aducted the "boy in the box", and the boy got sick??

Another thought...maybe it was just the boy and his father and they moved around alot. The little boy got sick and father didn't want to deal with it anymore.

I'm interested in knowing if anyone knows how to do artist renderings if they can take this picture(I'm not sure who made this one.But I feel it is very good.)and please make him with a little bit longer hair.Not real long.Just more hair.Medium blond hair and about 10 pounds heavier.They said he had been 6 months to a year malnourished.Also any artist renderings of what people think he might have looked like.You never know someone might recognize him.

I'm still reading everything again and looking into who this little boy can be.This was an early lead. I don't really see it mentioned any where.It is in the newspaper articles early on.Does anyone know anything about who this woman and child was ?They should probably look into this again too.If any one finds out I would please like to know.What was the story with them?It is not mentioned a lot.Only in a brief news paper article.

QUERY FROM TRENTON

From Trenton the detective bureau received a query from State Police Capt. D. C. Borghard, who was checking the Philadelphia victim against descriptions of another child who vanished, also with his mother, on Jan. 26 from a nearby community. As in the case of the Rhode Island child, the weight of the missing boy was said to be greater than that of the child here.

A promising clue discovered near where the body was found had to be discarded a few hours after it was found yesterday morning.

I agree.I thought of the boy seen with a man on the bus that the artist sketched of who she saw.Maybe he or someone handed him over to someone who they thought would take care of him.family,relative or an orphanage,foster home or children's home.That's why I thought one of the children they were saying were waiting to be put in a state institution or he came over with the man or someone and Child welfare DHS was called because they thought he looked malnourished and neglected and was taken away.It very sadly looks like no one is looking for who this little boy is any more.I hope and pray if there are any police officers,retired,detectives or investigators,someone re investigates this little boys case again.The answers are out there some where.

I started reading this report but I got busy and haven't finished. I will try and post my thoughts on it in a couple days. I think the orphanage is a possibility.

I just finish reading about this case at the website they have set up and would like to ask a couple of questions about the case. Did anybody ever look beyond Philly for the boy's identity may he came from another state or did the police look into the welfare system could be the mother was a single parent and meet a guy who killed the kid and did the police ever look into church records

Okay after reading and rereading all that there is about this case. I myself would like to post a theory about how they could maybe find the birth mother and father. I know that the police and detectives assigned to the case have cover all the bases. But I believe the answer must laid with the Sisters of the Good Shepherd School for girls. I believe the "Johnathan Doe" mother must at one time could have been a former student or ward there. I also believe that the father might have work at the school on time or another could be the young girl and the male employee became involved. Do you think there might be any records showing who went of the school back then. And if I was the detectives now who is still working the case I would start with records of girls who went there from the late 1940's to the early 1950's given that the boy was between 2- 6 years when he was found, and look at any male employees who might have been working in and around that time at the school too

Has anyone gotten a hold of anyone to find out a recent up date and any leads being followed to find out this little boys real name.Sadly there has been no up dates for a long time now.Is someone going to re investigate this little boys case again like they are Baby Hopes case again.The answers are out there.Someone needs to just look again.Maybe check records in orphanages,children's homes and foster homes and court house records and other leads again.Generate more publicity for this little one again.

The boy in the box-There was a man that I believe committed suicide?in a different field ? a few months before this little boy in the box was found.Apparently the boy (John Powroznik}who first found the boy in the box's brother found the man who committed suicide.That's two people from the same family that find dead people in fields in this area.Does any one have any more information on the man that committed suicide before this little boy was found.I am just interested in it.Maybe it was connected to the little boy in the box or the boy in the box was possibly an illegal immigrant or something and maybe that is why no one knew who this little boy was.There are many leads.but very sadly no answers.

Sorry about using the name Johnathan, but to me that sounds like a popluar 1950's boy's name. Some more questions did the detectives ever search any other state other than Philadelphia Penn, I say this becasue what if the boy was born at home, did the detectives ever question midwives or small town doctors in another state
