Your guess is as good as mine. Most cases are closed quietly without any public acknowledgement or further information released by LE, and this is one of them.

Whether or not a name is released isn’t always something that comes up, either. Especially in cases without any significant public interest. This case wasn’t covered by the media and LE never formally appealed for information outside of NamUs, but they identified her and then closed the case. It doesn’t necessarily mean they’re withholding her name for the sake of withholding it; it’s more likely that they didn’t see a reason to formally announce a resolution to a case that they never publicly acknowledged before and of which the general public was largely unaware.
