PA - Philadelphia shootout, multiple officers shot, 14 August 2019 *Arrest*

2 officers still inside home. Suspect not contained. Neighborhood still on lockdown.
WPVI ABC Philly, live broadcasting. 8:08pm

Those two officers being still inside, is incredibly disturbing.

Hopefully they’re still alive, but I’m not very hopeful.

Wondering what benefit a drone provides when suspect is inside a building. Checking any possible escape route perhaps? Rattle the suspect? Maybe it can hover at the window and really shake him up. JMO

If it's a police drone they are using it hoping the shooters windows either dont have drapes on them or he hasn't shut his blinds.

“Officers are attempting to communicate with the shooter; imploring him to surrender and avoid further injuries,” tweeted Philadelphia Police spokesman Eric Gripp.

Police told local residents to remain inside their homes and stay out of the area after hundreds of rounds were exchanged.

Me either. They said he is shooting into the ceiling above him and shooting into the floor.

It's obvious he is trying to take out everyone who may be close to his location.

I have such a terrible feeling this is not going to end well for the good guys.

I don't think so (but what do I know). I am wondering, though, if he is wearing a bullet-proof vest and feeling powerful. Speculation, not fact.

LE was serving a narcotics warrant. Purely speculation, but he's probably been inside before, and he swore he wouldn't go back in. This isn't going to end well, regardless if he's feeling froggy with a vest or lots of drugs in him.

If they know where he is and even what room he's in, is use of tear gas or a smoke bomb an option? Otherwise, who knows how much ammo he has and how long they will have to stay barricaded and in danger.
