Thank you for posting about Richard being missing, @Richrd! From the article you linked in the OP, Richard left Temple University Hospital before he had been seen, after waiting for 3 hours:

Endangered 74-year-old man missing from North Philadelphia

. . .Richard Alexander, 74, was reported missing by his niece, who last saw him when she dropped him off at Temple University Hospital around 4 p.m. Friday.

Due to coronavirus procedures, family members could not stay with Alexander at the hospital.

Just before 7 p.m., Alexander reportedly left the hospital without being seen. . .

I hope Richard can be found quickly.

I hope Richard can be found quickly.

That hospital isn’t in what I would consider an especially “safe” neighborhood, so I am all the more worried about this sick, elderly, frail (5’7”, 110 lbs.) man walking around there after dark! Hoping against hope he manages to make his way home safely.

The Philly PD’s page indicates poor Mr. Alexander waited nearly 3 hours to be seen. I can’t say I blame him for being frustrated/exhausted and walking out. The hospital’s Coronavirus restrictions that kept a family member from waiting with him/being there to advocate for him are understandable but, my god, what grave injustice they inflict upon the elderly, infirm, and those who are unable to communicate or advocate for themselves. My heart hurts all the more for him and his loved ones.!

Wonder if Richard is familiar with Temple Hospital ? And the area surrounding it, wondering why no one waited for him in the parking lot. I'd have been hawking that entrance door if they told me to leave I'm pretty sure theres adequate security would have tried for some support or someone from patient advocacy anyway.
Terrifying to think about Richard trying to navigate that area if not familiar with it .It looks like a huge complex ... Has it been searched completely ? MOO just thinking out loud

I would think the hospital cameras would show which direction he left. There should be traffic cams, business cams, etc. to see if he decided to use public transportation. If he was really sick, where would he be able to rest in that area? A park bench? There's a big parking garage, a pharmacy school campus. Puzzling that they haven't found him yet.
