The FBI is now stating that they think it was a murder-for-hire... and that someone wanted the couple dead (KYW radio said "couple").

New information has been released in the disappearance of an area couple who were last seen leaving a Philadelphia bar nearly three years ago.

Mount Laurel resident Danielle Imbo, 34, and her companion, 34-year-old Richard Petrone of South Philadelphia mysteriously vanished after a night out at Abilene's on South Street the evening of February 19, 2005.

No trace of the couple has been found since they were last seen in Petrone's black 2001 Dodge pickup.

CBS 3 has learned investigators believe two were victims of a murder-for-hire plot.

"As a result of the three-year investigation and all of the leads we have followed up and pursued, we are now classifying this as a murder-for-hire investigation," said Jayne Challman with the F.B.I.

Wow.. well that is a public throwing down of the gauntlet..perhaps the one who did the hiring will realize that this is not going away, they will not get away with this.. there will be justice despite there attempts to cover their tracks.

This was just on the ABC local news and they stated that the investigation has gone beyond NJ, beyond Philadelphia and into other states. They also stated that neither person seems to have anything in their lives that would have made them a target of this sort of thing. They no longer believe it was a kidnapping since no ransom has ever been demanded. And also that this is "by no means" a cold case.

I hope that the folks who CRUSHED THE Truck....are watching this. we know the FEDS are going to keep things hush. But let's be real people. The facility that crushed the truck should be shaking. It seems many people at many levels had to be involved to pull this off:
1) The hired knew where she was headed
2) If Richie was in the wrong place, that assumes they were after her. Let's continue as if that were the assumption, Rich is now with her at her desination, Opps, what are they going to do, wait for another day or do the deed? It appears they did the deed. But oh ***** what are we going to do with the truck? The hired then make a mad dash with the truck to some where. They make a call and say, " ah what do we do with da truck?" At this point, maybe the situation did not yet hit the news. So they take a brand new truck and dispose of it. But... that had to be quite an effort. After all the authorities used sonar to look for this vehicle in the water. So, ok just for and giggles... wouldnt the authorities shake down every car smashing place from here to ATLANTA? Come on now? Suppose the hire dtold the facility " ah we stole this truck. can you crush it?" At this point maybe they dont see the news. And they crush it. Then they see the news and learn it was part of a missing persons case. Dont they come for the 100k? Why wouldnt they. WHY? are they connected too.

3) The hired: Could they be a few degrees of seperation from Danielle's friends or her ex's. Look, Danielle was NOT Mary Poppins. She was a party girl who sang. Maybe one of her fruit loop fans was in cohoots with her ex. Maybe it is closer then we think.

4) Since all Danielle's friends were PRO IMPO, maybe just maybe there is that one ( I refuse to mention her name, but we all know who she is) who is a party girl and makes Amy whitehouse look like a mary poppins, and she was in love with danielle's x and well.... she could know some scummy people.

5) In my opinion, I would like to hear publically that everyone is being pushed and pushed hard. Push everyone in front of everyone and watch the fingers start pointing.

With all the modern technology I cannot fathom that the FEDS would not have some kind of trail to the perps. But think about it.... there is a 100k reward. Why Why Why wouldn't someone who knows something come forward and take the money and get protection? I have my theory. I am interested in one of yours.

I am so pissed off I can scream right now. This information is news to the public... but it has been too long for a resolution.

Murder for Hire? Then someone(s) will talk eventually sometime down the road...someone who was an accomplice and wants to make a plea deal. Or someone already in jail looking for some privileges.

Mr. Petrone is on the local news right now. He's thanking LE for all the hard work they have been doing. He believes that LE has something substantial as they have come out and publically said they believe it was murder for hire. These poor people for three years suffering. Prayers for everyone involved.

HE has custody! Took the child away from NJ to NC. Now the kid is away from his relatives. But the truth is that even if her family pushed to keep him, he is the father...and unless there is some evidence of threat, mistreatment, incompetent parent ect, in a court of law, I think, a dad or mom, gets the kid.
