There is something to be said about Smerconish's arguement. So, is anyone will to help me but this to the test.

"Richard Petrone and Danielle Imbo classified by FBI “Murder for Hire”
Dear Nancy,

The purpose of this note is two-fold: to re-call your attention to the missing couple from Philadelphia, Richard Petrone and Danielle Imbo, and to bring you up to speed that the FBI has reclassified this case as a “Murder-for Hire”. On April 19, 2005 you had aired a segment about them. February 19th 2008 marked the 3 year anniversary. Surely this is news worthy and this case warrants the same national media exposure as Natalie Holloway’s case.

I will call your attention to the article ‘The Missing Ingredient, by a Philadelphia Inquirer columnist, Michael Smerconish. Michael, like many of us raises the question of WHY this

“…remarkable disappearance has again receded from the headlines, leaving a case like Natalee Holloway's to dominate the missing-persons news cycle. Even before the video of Joran van der Sloot's potentially incriminating statements garnered international attention over recent weeks, the Holloway case was covered regardless of any new developments.”
Click here for story "Missing" Ingredient.

Remarkable disappearance indeed! This “murder for hire” has many suspicious characters and the ingredients to make a “Law and Order” episode look like a sitcom! What we find REMARKABLE, is that this case demonstrates the outcome of domestic abuse. The abuse is DOCUMENTED but for some reason is never brought up: Not in news articles nor by authorities during press conference. Never. I find this all very odd.

Shows of your genre never picked up on a daily basis like with Halloway. No one engages in any discourse about the elements of the case, there is no speculation about friends, lovers, or other strangers, no debating or exploring of possibilities and no conversations about the history of the domestic violence by the ex-husband. Why? Aren’t you as curious about who the “persons of interest ” and what happened to these two people like you are with Holloway? Surely, the American public would be as interested in this story as with Halloway’s case.

This case should speak to you, your producers, and the TV watchers across America. Nancy, we are calling on you to give Richard Petrone and Danielle Impo the same coverage/exposure, analysis, and discourse that Natalie Holloway has received. They too deserve the national support in trying to expose and bring their MURDERS to justice!!!

We have a “Murder for Hire” situation, the FBI, an abusive ex-husband, two parents with young children disappeared WITHOUT a TRACE, and a HUGE TRUCK…. Gone!

There is a 100k reward. We need your help to bring exposure to this case to justice and give my family closure.

Thank you in advance for your support!

Sincerely,

Donna Valente ( Richard’s cousin)
And other concerned friends and citizens.

Still missing | Philadelphia Daily News | 02/29/2008

Here's a look at some of the city's more notable long-term missing-persons cases:

_ Danielle Imbo and Richard Petrone disappeared Feb. 19, 2005, after visiting Abilene's, a bar on South Street near 5th.

Imbo was 34, and Petrone, 35, when they left the bar, supposedly heading for Imbo's Mount Laurel home in Petrone's 2001 black Dodge Dakota.

The FBI earlier this month announced that the couple may have been victims of a murder-for-hire plot, although agents declined to divulge details.

A $100,000 reward remains available for information leading to their whereabouts. Call the Citizens Crime Commission at (215) 546-TIPS or the FBI at 418-4000.

Several other long-standing Philadelphia cases are also listed. Very, very sad. I wish resolution and peace for all of you.

Just the threads here and the media reports still archived on the net.
They are listed on the Charley Project of course.
This case hasnt recieved the attention alot of other less perplexing cases have for some reason your certainly right about that.
I hope things start moving, three years is too long for all of you to be left hanging without anykind of resolution.

I just watched the Nancy Grace segment you linked.
One would think that Danielle's husband would have to be under intense scrutiny from LE...of all the people on the planet he seems to be the only one who could concievably benefit from this tragedy.
Im glad a 'random act of violence' has been ruled out.
Two people and a vehicle are not going to vanish from the face of the earth from a mugging or car jacking.
As for his 'alibi'...airtight alibi's make me suspicous.
Most people dont have them unless they know they are going to need them.
If I hired someone to kill my wife Id be at my Mommy and Daddy's house too.
Or any place where alot of people could account for my every move during the time frame I knew the crime was being commited.

Hello all,

Where did everyone go?
Hi,
I am new here and just read this thread, had not heard about it before. I sent the the e-mail to Nancy, sent it as a tip to Greta from greta Wire web site. I also e-mailed a copy to Zero Gossip to [email protected]. Hope these e-mails help. You might also like to check out Holliston's site zerogossip.com

I'm still thinking about and wondering about this lovely couple. Where are they? Where is the vehicle?

After watching 5 seasons of "The Sopranos", I can believe this might have been a murder for hire.

Does Danielle's husband have mob connections?

Honestly, while I believe there is a Mafia, I don't believe they are involved in this at all! Now, if you want to use the term MOB more loosely, as in gang, mob mentality, wannabees, power mongers...whatever, I think the evidence is there that Danielle's husband was abusive, threatened Richie's life by telling him he would break his head open with a baseball bat. that is mob mentality.

I just learned about this case recently but I keep checking back to see if there is anything new.
I feel very strongly in my heart this case WILL be solved and the questions to Danielle and Richards fate will be answered.
And hopefully those responsible will face justice.

I have deleted several posts discussing Brian's Prediction (BP), off topic.

Move on please and get back to discussing Richard and Danielle.

Yes mam'am.

I'd still like to know why so many elements of this case as it relates to Danielle and the history of abuse has been quiet. Is her attorney able to surpress the information from the public? Is it considered privite? Wouldn't the case benefit if someone close to Danielle poked the stick at the bear a bit? Why were her friends so hush hush about it? Where are her friends when we mark anniversary dates?

Does this seem odd to anyone else and what are your thoughts on why this issue has not be raised publically?

  • #199
One wouldnt think it would take a rocket scientist to consider someone close to Danielle, with a history of violence towards her as someone worthy of a whole bunch of scrutiny.
Especially if he is practicly the only person on the planet to benefit from the situation as it stands.
