Police looking for Bucks County man who kidnapped woman, held her at knifepoint

Police say the woman met 46-year-old Richard Phillips outside a Wawa on Bristol Pike the night of April 19. She got in his car and that’s when he started acting aggressively toward her.

Phillips then followed her, grabbed her before she got in the Wawa, and pulled her back toward the car while telling her he had a knife and would kill her if she didn’t get back inside the car.

She got back in the car and Phillips drove her to his friend’s house on Mulberry Street. He then took the woman’s keys and cellphone and told his friend to get her car from the Wawa.

She then pushed Phillips, ran out of the house and hid behind a nearby church for almost an hour before going back to the friend’s house and asking for her belongings.

Officials say she got her stuff back and escaped again. She reported the incident just after 6 a.m. on April 20.
