Police said the last time anyone spotted Salamon was after she was involved in a DUI crash on Route 18 in Lawrence County. Her daughter remembers seeing a mangled car, but no trace of her mother, who is also known as Beanie. Her mother has struggled with addiction for years, but never disappeared for this long.

Her daughter (whose name appears in the last article posted) has pictures of the accident on her Facebook page which is public (I don't want to get in any trouble or link page). Few interesting comments under picture. Car looks pretty bad but she walked away from it.

I saw that too. It sounds like this lady is suffering from the results of her behaviors and her family is super worried. I wish she could/would contact her family and let them know if she's okay.

She may have walked away, but that doesn't mean she wasn't injured. I wonder how extensively they search the area around the car

New Castle Police: Woman Who Disappeared From Scene Of Car Crash Is Still Missing
One month ago 39-year old Sabrina Salamon wrecked her car on Liberty Street in New Castle. Police found the vehicle flipped over on its roof after it crashed into two poles.

[...]

“At first, we were thinking that maybe she was just running from the potential charges against her. We know she made a couple of phone calls about the charges,” says Chief Salem.

[...]

Police say she’s had brushes with the law, but they say no one has spoken with her in weeks. Now they’re worried about her safety.

“As time goes on, we want to determine if she’s hiding out or if she’s in any kind of trouble,” says Chief Salem.

From the area of the crash to where she was found, it was less than 2 miles and wouldn’t have taken her long to walk..(~25 min) :(

Missing woman found dead on South Side
Salamon, 39, of Madison Street, Mahoningtown, had been missing since she was involved in a traffic accident Dec. 19, 2019.

Police Chief Bobby Salem confirmed Thursday afternoon that her body was found in a hot tub inside a fenced-in area on Long Avenue. He said police had previously searched the home.

Madison St. (her home) and Liberty St (car wreck) intersect south of Hwy 422. How did she end up north, 5 +/- miles away on Long Ave, in a hot tub, at a house that had been previously searched. Hmmm.

I know the area.....I know the town....this stinks IMO
ETA: Nobody saw her walking? If she was injured & under the influence, how did she make it that far & have the coherency to get through a fence, into a hot tub? Not buying it but don’t be surprised if this ends up getting blanketed as a simple “left the scene & succumbed to her injuries, nothing to see here.” MOO

I agree this is pretty strange at this point. It says she made some phone calls after the car crash so that leads me to think it's a separate incident that killed her, likely an OD but if she was intoxicated and just climbed in someone's got tub I would have expected the home owner would have found her not people searching for her... But if she'd made contact with people since the crash, why was there still an active search of the area? I suppose it will become clearer as more details emerge.

Guess we wait for full autopsy and tox. PA is cold, so it sounds like hot tub was hot. Drugs and hot tubs don’t mix. We don’t know if she was using, and we don’t know what, if any internal injuries she had from the wreck. They said the house was searched before, so there’s yet another ?

The hot tub was empty and the lid was latched. She was found by a volunteer searcher who smelled something and tried to open the lid and found it to be latched. She unsnapped the lid and found her. Looking for the article that stated all of this.

thank you. I didn’t see it. She didn’t put herself in a latched hot tub

“I smelled it and I couldn’t open it and as soon as I tried to open it, it wouldn’t open. So I saw a little snap, so I unsnapped it and I picked it up and she was there.”
