GREENE COUNTY (KDKA) - A family is desperate for answers as the search for a missing kayaker continues in Greene County.

Sixty-five Shane Phillips disappeared on Thursday night at the Wisecarver Dam where he was fishing in his kayak.

His family says they are not giving up hope that he will return home.

The search for Phillips is reaching day four.

A body discovered in the Wisecarver Run Reservoir in Greene County Sunday morning was identified as an individual who was reported missing by his family, state police say.

According to a press release, Shane Phillips was originally reported missing by his family after he went out on a fishing trip May 18.

State police say his truck was located at the reservoir unattended as well as his kayak that was floating in the water.

The press release states that investigators were able to identify Phillips's body after it was found and extracted from the water.
