Police search for missing Chester Co. mom, 2 children last seen in Philadelphia's Kensington section

Shannon Nicole Lake and her two children left their home over a week ago with her boyfriend, Daniel Patrick Connors.

Lake's last known location was in the Kensington section of Philadelphia on June 18 at 11:27 a.m.

She was also reportedly seen in parts of Tinicum Township.

Lake, 30, is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 115 pounds. She has brown hair and green eyes. Her children and 2-years old and 6-months old.

Connors, 31, is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 175 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

Pennsylvania State Police are seeking help from the public to locate a mother and two children who left their home in Chester County earlier this month and were last seen Friday in Philadelphia.

Shannon Nicole Lake, 30, was last at her home in New London Township more than a week ago, according to the troopers at the Avondale barracks. Authorities received a report that she was missing and her last known location was in the Kensington section of Philadelphia around 11:30 a.m. on June 18.

Lake is thought to have left the Chester County home with her boyfriend, 31-year-old Daniel Patrick Connors, and her two children – a 2-year-old girl and 6-month-old boy.

Investigators said Lake might have been in a dark grey 2014 Mazda 6 sedan with the Pennsylvania tag KMD-8119.

The mother and two children have been entered into the National Crime Information Center as missing people, along with the vehicle.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Lake and her children is urged to contact the state police Avondale barracks at (610) 268-2022 and reference PA2021-837097.

Is her boyfriend missing too? Impression is he is not. So where is he and has he spoken?

Knowing why the two adults decided to visit Kensington could be important in determining their state of mind and perhaps where they traveled afterwards, IMO.

Says in above report they are believed to be together. Don't know if that is in his car or hers; I would guess his.

Just to add…there are groups that regularly capture Kensington residents & visitors by photo and video, and then post same to dedicated Facebook/YouTube pages. Perhaps Shannon saw someone she knew on such a site and sought to locate them? I don’t know. There are limited reasons for a non-resident to visit Kensington IMO.

I have bottomless empathy for people struggling with addiction, but nobody should be heading to Kensington with children in tow. IMO.

I think it could be helpful to know why they went there. Perhaps to pick up something that would be consumed at a later time, presumably back in Chester Co? Or in Tinicum?

There’s a lot missing here, IMO. Even a quick drive with an infant & toddler requires a well-packed bag (diapers, wipes, clothing, snacks/drinks/toys for toddler, bottles, etc). What’s missing from the house? If she used a portable crib/pack n play, is that missing? Toddler’s fav stuffed animal, mom’s diaper bag, the house supply of sippy cups, etc.?

Wow, I'll be following this one closely. I just moved out of Kensington. Not very many good reasons to visit Kensington especially from that far away. Only closeby areas that would maybe make sense would be Port Richmond because it has lots of big box stores (but you can go to those anywhere) or Fishtown (trendy part of town but not a ton going on during the day).

All those stores in Port Richmond she can find at any mall.

You know it's quiet in Fishtown until at least until 1PM. However ya have the crowd and Front & Girard that are coming from the clinic to get dosed. They're out there selling all kinds of pills.

In this case if boyfriend doesn't have a place I'd say they're in motel or something. Hope they are all OK.

Even addicts frown on people towing their kids with them to cop. Dealers ain't happy either.

Fabulous news this family is safe.

Yup, Sham that's the one. I don't know who to credit for that logo. It's a good place for many reasons. Raw. In your face reality. It does help find missing loved one though.

KENSINGTON BLUES is a portrait book, but you can see photos online. Jeffrey Stockbridge did a phenomenal job. Think there's video as well.
