The Sharon Police Department and the Mercer County Coroner's Office need help to identify the remains of a man's body found in a creek Tuesday.

Coroner John Libonati told 21 News that the body was found around 2:30 p.m. near E. Connelly Boulevard and the Shenango Valley Freeway.

When found, the man was wearing a pair of blue jeans, black Nike socks, and one Merrill shoe.

He is described as a bald male of unknown ethnicity, missing several teeth.

He does have a tattoo of the side profile of a Native American in a headdress with the phrase, "Tell chief white one lives again."

Libonati said the body is that of an unidentified adult male and had been there for five days.

Since then, an autopsy performed Wednesday found the cause of death was environmental exposure complicated by a terminal element of aquatic immersion by the coroner's office.

Police said the manner of death will remain undetermined pending further forensic testing and investigation into the events of how the man may have entered the water before being discovered.

SHARON, Pa. (WKBN) – Police in Sharon are investigating after a body was found in a creek Tuesday near the Shenango Valley Freeway.

Sharon’s police and fire departments, along with the Mercer County coroner, gathered around the intersection of Route 62/E. Connelly Boulevard and Stambaugh Avenue. The area was blocked off for about two hours but reopened once the scene was cleared.

“We got called here at about 2:45 p.m. for a possible body in the creek,” said Sharon Police Chief Edward Stabile. “The initial call we got was that someone was walking across the bridge and saw it.”

I'm not convinced the tattoo says "lives." Maybe "rides?" Wow completely undetermined cause of death too... What does "foreign substances in body" mean, exactly? He must be from the area in PA if he committed suicide or it was an accident... It's a pretty random place to be found if he wasn't from the area.

you're thinking along the lines of the NamUs author; under 'images' they're also considering it being 'rides', which would make more sense no idea what it means, tried googling variations of the saying and didn't find anything. Maybe an inside joke or reference?
Where do you see "foreign substances", or you looking at Richrd's vocab list or is it included in one of the articles? Post #4 says COD was determined to be 'environmental exposure complicated by a terminal element of aquatic immersion', which sounds like...this man had symptoms of exposure and also seemed to have drowned, or had water in his lungs but not enough to be the entire COD?

The state police crime lab identified the man whose body was discovered Sept. 1 as Eric Dallacroce, 41, of Sharon, Sharon police said Thursday. Mercer County Coroner John Libonati ruled that Dallacroce’s death was accidental.
