Sherline Johnson, 35: Went To Visit A Friend & Never Returned In 1997

She was reportedly diagnosed with diabetes, schizophrenia, and heart problems.

August 23, 2021

She vanished from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1997, but not many people know about Sherline Johnson. To be fair, the general public may be unfamiliar with her story because there has not been much mentioned about the 35-year-old woman over the years. It was on May 1 when she was last seen and despite being in a busy metropolis with millions of people, Sherline disappeared and was never seen or heard from again.

According to reports, Sherline Johnson may have been last seen in the area of the 1200 block of South Carlisle Street or the 2500 block of Washington Street. She left her residence on Seigel Street and said she was going to go out with a female friend but she never returned. It is unclear who Sherline gave that information to or who that friend was, and where she may have been going has not been shared publicly.

It has also been reported that Sherline was diagnosed with diabetes, schizophrenia, and heart problems. It is unknown if she was taking any prescription medications for her health issues, but Sherline “has abused drugs” and may have had a substance abuse issue when she went missing.

At the time of her disappearance, Sherline Johnson was approximately 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighed 100 pounds. She had black/dark brown hair (worn in a ponytail) and brown eyes. She had scars across all four of her fingers on her right hand and a scar on her outer right ankle. Both of her ears are pierced. Sherline was last seen wearing a white sweatshirt, dark blue sweatpants, and black shoes that buckle on the side. Sherline also went by the nicknames “Chocolate” and “Yogi.” She would be 59-years-old at the time of this publication.

He had many ailments, perhaps with diabetes he became unbalanced and fainted, a blow to the head and he no longer counted her twice or his girlfriend violently attacked out of jealousy...
