Emergency crews are responding to an explosion in Northeast Philadelphia after a small plane crashed in the area of Roosevelt Boulevard and Cottman Avenue, Philadephia police confirmed to CBS News Philadelphia.

Two people were aboard the plane, according to police. There are other injuries reported on the ground, police added.

Multiple homes are on fire in the area of Cottman Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard following the crash, fire officials said

That fireball was enormous.
It didn't look survivable but hoping I'm wrong, wondering if the airplane hit an LP tank or other fuel source ?
How sad, and coming so soon after the tragedy on the 29th.

Oh no ... this is horrible ... so it was a medivac flight?!! Edit .. just saw that last camera footage. Was it already on fire on the way down?
The initial article i read said it was only a 2 passenger plane

Im wondering if the other 4 were nearby and died from the explosion from the impact
 
I heard that the crash was near a strip mall; might it have destroyed a medical clinic?
It sounded like it was some sort of medical transport aircraft.

Conflicting reports. First we heard about Doctors and a patient on board, then we heard about just two people on board.
