Authorities say the body of a teenage girl found in a Pittsburgh park had been doused in bleach — likely in an effort to remove evidence.

Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen Zappala said Friday the caustic fluid burned the body of Teaira Whitehead...

Police had already labeled the 16-year-old's death "suspicious." Joggers found her naked body in Riverview Park on Monday.

Mr. Zappala said Teaira associated with known heroin dealers, some of whom officials are trying to find. He said he would not describe her as a dealer but said she was a known heroin user.

A 16-year-old girl whose nude body was found in Riverview Park by joggers in October died of an accidental drug overdose, the Allegheny County medical examiner's office reported.

The teenager, Teaira Whitehead, died of the toxicity of heroin combined with two medications generally used to combat colds/allergies and coughs, toxicology tests revealed.
