Billy Ray Boggs Jr., 49, of Finley Road and Jamie Lynn Boggs, 36, who was living with her brother, were arrested in separate cases.

Billy Ray Boggs Jr. was arrested Tuesday by Pittsburgh police on a warrant and lodged in the Allegheny County Jail. He allegedly violated the terms of his probation related to a 1995 Cumberland County case. He was sentenced to 10 to 20 years in a state prison on criminal solicitation and conspiracy convictions. On March 30, he was cited for disorderly conduct for allegedly bringing a knife into the Westmoreland County Courthouse.

Jamie Boggs was placed in the Westmoreland County Prison in Hempfield following her arrest April 23 for probation violations. She was sentenced Jan. 2 by Westmoreland County to two to 23 months in jail and a year of probation after pleading guilty to simple assault and criminal mischief. The charges stem from a Sept. 10 incident in Jeannette. She was released from jail March 18. Boggs was back before Westmoreland County on April 24 for violating the terms of her probation. He ordered her to serve the balance of her maximum sentence, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and be re-paroled to “recommended treatment.”

Jamie Boggs filed a protection-from-abuse petition against Guercio March 30 at the Westmoreland courthouse. The petition was denied.

I think some of you may have missed this link from the first post. Guercio is definitely violent. I wouldn't be surprised if this was self-defense, or a brother protecting his sister...

Clearly there's a history there, but how can her report say he was hitting her with a wrench on 3/25 if he was last seen on 3/23?

I disagree, we do not know if his girlfriend's claim is legit, or just an attempt to lay the groundwork for a defense. JMO

Boggs, 49, of Rostraver pleaded guilty Friday to the first-degree murder of Guercio, his sister's boyfriend. Boggs maintained he did so with a purpose — to live out his own life in prison — for a crime he said needed to be committed.

“To me, he was the most evil person I ever met,” Boggs said before he was sentenced by Judge Rita D. Hathaway to serve life in prison without the possibility of parole.
