Pittsburgh Police Searching For Missing And Endangered Woman, Tonya Prevade

Police are asking for help finding a missing and endangered woman.

They say 37-year-old Tonya Prevade was last seen in Carrick neighborhood around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug 4.

Tonya Prevade, 37, is described as 5 foot 6 inches tall and 185 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. She has a distinctive piercing on her right cheek and may be wearing glasses.

Pittsburgh police seek missing woman, 11-year-old boy; both called 'endangered'

Pittsburgh police are asking for the public’s help in their search for a woman and an 11-year-old boy reported missing separately on Wednesday.

Both are considered to be endangered, police said.


Tonya Prevade, 37, was last seen at about 12:30 a.m. in the Carrick area. She may be headed to Greene County in a 2019 Tacoma with a Pennsylvania license plate ZKM-7511.

Police said she is 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighs 185 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes. She also has a blue dermal piercing on her cheek and may be wearing glasses.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of either of the missing people is asked to contact the police department’s Special Victims Unit at 412-323-7141.

Tonya's FB says she was permanently disabled medically in June 2020.

She looks very different with her glasses IMO.

If she is receiving disability payments would she not have to be home for the check or do they do direct deposit? Not.sure she.does just speculating.

Social Security Disability can be direct deposited. We looked into it as my husband has a genetic disease that's causing him to go blind (he's in his 30's) and will eventually be disabled. Direct deposit is usually considered a safer way to go as there have been cases in the past of the infirm (often elderly) who had caretakers or family members take the check for themselves.

It must be very difficult for your husband and entire family to be going through his illness. I am sorry .

But the only profile I could find of her has not been updated since July
