that page seems very watered down. Not much is given away personally IMO. Although, I do take your meaning nosysw. You expect someone who claims to be a serial killer and who had been involved with Satanism (past or present) to have some sort of posts or shares that were disturbing or telling. Instead we see a girl posting about the weather, job situation, engagement, etc. And the only photos we can see are those of her and her little one.

People hide their less than publicly acceptable selves and don't tend to put that out there IMO. We see people do it, but IMO those are the stupid ones.

I agree as well. She says she started killing at 13, says they were all bad people, claims the most recent was a child molestor, then throws in a satanic cult to boot? Sounds like delusional revenge fantasies, IMO.

Any time I hear the words 'satanic cult' mentioned in a story, I get suspicious. Where is this cult? Surely if a 13 yr old got involved with them, they didn't slip under the radar...and I read where she claimed the 1st murder was motivated by somebody owing this man money. That sounds more like a drug or gang related killing than a cult. Wouldn't a cult be more apt to perform some kind of rituals instead of shooting somebody? IDK about this one. Her own mother supposedly admitted that she had been molested, well, has she said anything about the cult involvement?

I am waiting for more info to come out on this one. She has agreed to pinpoint on maps the exact location of some of her alleged murders and where the bodies where disposed of so it should be a simple matter for LE to determie if she is telling the truth of full of it.

I don't believe her numbers for the simple reason that there are not that many men missing in the state of Alaska who were not suspected of drowning or missing in the wilderness. I counted about 5 or 6 that might have been victims simply because of the circumstances, but I think that she has greatly exaggerated her numbers. However, whether she killed 5 or 50, she is obviously a dangerous person and it is a good thing that she has been caught.

An ad purportedly posted by Miranda at 1:11 a.m. Nov. 1 — looking to meet men who “hated their wives” — was not a coincidence, Dean said.

The murder took place Nov. 11, the same day as the birthday of Miranda’s husband, Elytte Barbour, and the two-year anniversary of her father’s remarriage, on Nov. 11, 2011.

Dean wept again.

“I told (Miranda) when she was in Alaska, she needed to stop all of this and get away from these (satanic) people,” Dean said. “She was involved in this satanic stuff and this man (Forrest) still has a hold on her. It’s heart-breaking.”

One day Miranda came home and said she wanted to change her life, so Dean sent her to North Carolina to live with Miranda’s uncle, Arlin Fletcher.

“I sent her down here and she was doing very good,” Dean said. “I moved down here to be with her, and then she met ‘Elf.’”

“Elf” is Elytte Barbour.

On Dec. 6, just three days after Miranda was arrested, Elytte told police he was also with his wife the night of the murder. He said he was hiding in the backseat of the Honda CRV, according to court documents.

After a sign was given, Elytte told police, he popped out from under a blanket and began to choke LaFerrara while Miranda stabbed the man, police said."

Many people have more than 1 FB page, too. A 'tame' one just for a few friends and family, plus another one for their 'other side/life.'

I personally think she's FOS about her claims of numerous other murders. I get the sense that she's enjoying the attention (even if negative attention) and wants the ?notoriety of being perceived as some clever serial killer.

I think it's sad she has a young child (where is this poor baby now?)...and her husband, too.

The fact that they killed this man and didn't even think to search his body for his cell phone (and remove it such that LE, upon finding his body, were able to redial last # called on his phone which lead to these 2) says to me that they are very sloppy and inexperienced.

Her FB page does show a sister who lives in Alaska.

I do not believe she killed 20+ other victims. I am sure she fantasized about it. But she is far too inept, sloppy and stupid to have gotten away with 20 previous murders. She is just another sick freak and I am happy she is locked away.

Her mother knew but didn't get involved...because I would lock my teenager in a closet if I thought they were involved in a cult.

Ron Wheeler, former DC homicide detective, was talking about this case on Fox this morning. He believes MB is inflating her murderous resume for shock value and attention. He adds however that he wouldn't rule out additional crimes, either by this couple or MB and other accomplices because of the planning and brutality of this crime.

Dean said Miranda called her on Jan. 27, the day the teen mom was served papers by her uncle, Arlin Fletcher, for custody of Miranda’s nearly 2-year-old daughter.

Miranda’s daughter was taken out of Snyder County protective services and placed in the care of Miranda’s father, who lives in Texas.

I wonder why mom didn't get (and doesn't seem to be trying to get) custody of her granddaughter. The uncle, who Miranda had apparently lived with when she moved to NC attempted to get custody, but ultimately the little girl was sent to Texas with Miranda's father. Something is off about this case, besides the obvious craziness...IMO. A lot more to come, I suspect.

I didn't quote that part, honestly, because it made me too sad for Miranda. I know there's not a lot of sympathy for her here (myself included initially), but that article tugged at my heartstrings.
