Nearly 10 years after a teenager diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia stabbed his twin half-brothers, killing one, the prosecution has dismissed the charges against him...

“Because Troy dedicated himself to treatment and complied with everything he was asked to do, he made steady progress,” Ms. Middleman said. “He has for 9 1/2 years dedicated himself to improving and maintaining his mental health”...

“But for the medication and treatment he’s receiving, he would not be competent [to stand trial],” Ms. Middleman said.
