Found on the front page while scrolling through the news at work— not much is out yet because the case was just opened a few days ago, based on reports.

The victim was found in Lackawanna County, beneath the Route 476 bridge near South Main Street in Taylor, according to the article that I first read.

I almost made one but I didn't bc there is literally no information except that remains were found. Were the remains in such bad condition they couldnt tell even the sex? I went through the PA missing persons list and there was a girl from who checked herself out from a rehab in Dallas. Which is in the neighboring county.

It's a very fresh case; I actually just got it recommended to me on a news feed I was reading before work. From what I can find, they were only discovered a few days ago.
I guess the situation's still under investigation, but I'll try to post when I find new details.

EDIT : I found a video stating that they were skeletal remains; Human remains discovered beneath Lackawanna County bridge

Found another case that parallels pretty closely with this one while trying to dig up what was happening. Posting here, just in case it's somehow (hopefully not) related.
Horrible that two sets of remains were found in this area within such a short amount of time.
The remains (from your link) were identified as Robert Baron and an arrest has been made.

Awesome that an arrest was made regarding that.
I'll have to dig some more into Justin Schuback. Hopefully I'm wrong about my hunch on this.

I wonder what the weather has been like there? Warmer than usual so that the body decomposed quicker or have the remains been there for years? I wish we knew more. Like....was there hair found? Any clothing found? What style were they if there was? So much we don't know.

Bones found Wednesday are believed to be part of the human remains found in the borough Tuesday morning,
..............................
Powell said the bones found Tuesday and Wednesday do not belong to Robert Baron, an Old Forge restauranteur who disappeared in 2017. Investigators discovered remains belonging to Baron three weeks ago,
..............................
A man accused of killing Baron, Justin Schuback, awaits a preliminary hearing next month.

Great find, thanks for sharing; glad I wasn't the only one who thought of Schuback/Baron's case lol

May Baron rest in peace, now that he's been found.
I hope we can give this next individual their name back so they can be put properly to rest as well.

Hopefully we'll get more info as the investigation goes on. I'm sure once the anthropologists finish their report, we'll get something...

Stephen Pacheco covered Robert Barons disappearance on his podcast, Trace Evidence (a very VERY good podcast) about a month or two before the remains were found, he also did an update episode.

Nice!
But were the second set of remains ID'd? I saw the thread was moved to the Identified tag - I was just comparing Baron's case to the one that started a little over a week ago.

The remains under the bridge were not Robert Baron's. I've reported my post (#98 above) to Mods.

I didn't think so; that's what threw me off when I saw this thread as ID'd under Baron.

In all fairness, it does get pretty confusing when these events were all within such a short time of one another.
Hopefully we can get an answer to this all soon.
