With a sealed search warrant, they looked through the brush and wood and a burn pile for more than 12 hours. Just what they were looking for was unclear.

Morse was seen the day he went missing a pedestrian bridge dedication in Jim Thorpe around 10 a.m., where he was photographed in a red shirt, reports indicate. Bonacci said his friend was then heading home, but first, he had to make a stop in Hazleton.

Well, if his body was found at his house, I think his son has some explaining to do...

Missing Persons Case Now a Homicide Investigation

SUGARLOAF TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- After a full day of searching the home of a missing man in Luzerne County, troopers declared it a case of homicide.

State police from the Wyoming barracks have been searching Bill Morse's property for more than 12 hours. Troopers tell Newswatch 16 they'll likely be there all night.

State police and an FBI evidence response team ramped up the search for Morse Wednesday morning, using a sealed search warrant to sift through brush and wood in what appeared to be a burn pile near his property on Hollow Road in Sugarloaf Township.

Then just before 6 p.m. troopers had an update.

"It is no longer a missing person, it is a criminal homicide investigation. We're not going to give any other updates at this time," said Tpr. Deanna Piekanski, Pennsylvania State Police.

Nice to see some action on this case. I think we all have a pretty good idea what happened. Has anyone seen where Bill’s wife has spoken out to the media since he disappeared?

Thanks @v0x for the videos above. These viewpoints jumped out - anyone else have same takes? differing? Not sleuthing family, of course, just attempting to pin the various angles of those closest to Bill!

Search Resumes at Homicide Victim’s Home

Police tell us Morse’s wife and son still live on the property.

About ten hours later, “Spike,” the Luzerne County detective office’s K9 was brought in to search the property. Spike specializes in sniffing out electronics. Last week, we learned state police are still looking to find Morse’s cell phone.

This was the fourth search of Morse’s property since Wednesday of last week.

I don’t recall the wife saying she was too upset to discuss... maybe I missed it. I seem to remember her telling someone “it’s not my problem” somewhere in the reporting though. I could be mistaken.
