Police in York are asking for help to find a missing 13-year-old boy.

Police said Yasiel Salgado was last seen around 6 p.m. Monday on the 800 block of Madison Avenue.

Salgado was wearing a black shirt and camo pants.

York, PA is a community with large Hispanic and Black populations. According to this site, "The largest York city racial/ethnic groups are White (38.5%) followed by Hispanic (32.7%) and Black (22.7%)." This means when juveniles go missing, there's a high chance they'll be children of color. Perhaps sticking a giant "Crimewatch" sticker on their missing photos that makes them look like wanted criminals isn't the move for a city with a majority "minority" population.

Stepping off my soapbox now. I hope Yasiel is found safely. I love his colorful outfit!
