Police: Body found in York Township cornfield

While harvesting corn Saturday, a combine operator noticed a body in a cornfield west of Revere Road, York Township, according to York Area Regional Police.
Police were dispatched around 4:40 p.m. when the body was located.

Sgt. Peter Montgomery said that clues indicate the body was a male and it was decomposed.

Police and the coroner's office reponded. The investigation is ongoing.

Medical: had recent surgery for a hernia but was healing well.

Case Details
On Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at around 6am, Tom Augustyniak left a note for his wife, saying he was going for a walk. He put on the coffee before he left. He took only his cigarettes and lighter, leaving his wallet, cell phone and keys behind. He never returned home.
A surveillance camera on Main Street in Glen Rock shows Thomas walking towards the York County Rail Trail/Hanover Street area at around 6:15 a.m. Extensive searches of the area in and around Glen Rock, utilizing search dogs, a state police helicopter, search & rescue and the Pennsylvania Defense Group have all met with negative results and Thomas remains missing.

The body matched that of a man who had been reported missing from a South Queen Street home on June 28, Bloss said.

It wouldn't be Augustyniak then, since he's been missing since April. I hope the family of the man who was found finds peace.
