Found Safe PA - Zakiyah Seward, 9, Philadelphia 5 May 2017

This gorgeous little girl has been missing since last night from a playground in the Strawberry Mansion area of Philadelphia. Heavy police presence in the area (per the live news I just saw, not this article).

Her parents say Zakiyah Seward was at a playground on the 3200 block of Lehigh Avenue with a friend around 8 p.m. Friday.

And the little friend is now at home.

Why you would let your 9 year old daughter go out alone in the Strawberry Mansion section of Philly is beyond me. I hope she is safe, but I have to say, that is not a very safe neighborhood.

This little girl actually has a FB page, although it is not active and many years old. What a beautiful child.

They just gave an update on the news. There is surveillance video of her going "in and out of" a convenience store near her home right before she disappeared. You can see a boy (?) on a bicycle outside the doorway, kinda looking to me like he was with her? No link yet, but I'll update when I find one.

here's another update:

Surveillance footage from a nearby corner store showed the little girl entering the store, along with two other children, then running out.

Zakiyah can be seen running a different way than her two friends in the video, which has a time stamp of 7:50 p.m., only a short time before her family called to report her missing.

I don't know the area at all, but from the interview with the mom, it sounds like the park is very close to home. Does anyone know how close it is? Hope she is found safe and soon.
