The DA has the right to subpoena phone records, a court has the power to grant that request if the subpoena is opposed, the police has no said on this all.

I don't understand the probable cause as you do, I don't see it.

CAUSE: Obtain phone records BECAUSE intruder/killer may have used the phone while in the Ramsey home.

For the same reason you did, I use the same name, yours is new, thus didn't knew who you were.

Incidentally, I am IrishMist on every board I post on. Except one, the Fuselage (related to the TV show Lost). And, boy, I wasn't happy when I saw that someone beat me to it!

Sure I am new, just learning and trying to catch up from long time posters like you.

So tell me, when did you start posting in the JBR forums and where?

Oh, ok, you're new... well, then, welcome to the boards "Pedro".

5. - The R's cooperated, everything they did without a court order is cooperation and more than they had to do.

How about making the police wait FOUR MONTHS for an interview?
That's hardly cooperation !Even then, it was under the condition of certain terms (theirs). They basically ran the whole show while police had their hands tied in trying to get them to cooperate while they were hiding behind lawyers(who had plenty of time to prep and coach them on their responses).
Even when they didn't leave town right after the discovery of JBR's body, they still didn't cooperate. And if the police hadn't spoken up,I bet they would have gone to Atlanta and stayed there.

I understand your point, however everything you do that you don't have to do is, IMHO, cooperation.

They could have refused to talk to LE forever if they so wish, even if arrested, even if prosecuted.

My only point is, and has been for almost a decade: there are MANY other reasons to put the R's under the famous umbrella beside their legal handling of the matter. LE should be able to make the case.

Now RR...we don't play those games since 4 or 5 years ago...I am free, so is my wife.

The ladies have fun with those things and I think fun is important in life. Dear friend, don't take it personally.

What a relief! I knew there was some kind of game coming from you... just didn't know what was up. That would be why you don't see any/many posts from me on other boards. The behind the scenes soap opera and game playing has never held much interest for me.

That's also why I love WS. Don't get much of that here, and it's fairly easy to spot when someone with an agenda does show up.

Yes, I no longer play games.
Pedro, I typically don't post, just read. And I don't usually pay much attention to WHO is posting as much as I do to WHAT is posted, (except on this forum) which would be why I didn't recognize your hat.

I posted a bit in one forum, but this is the first place that I've felt comfortable enough to post. See, I'm a fence sitter. And it seems like the other forums... well, you're either a RDI or an IDI, dammit, and a fool if you think otherwise.

Well, you can call me a fool, but I just can't pick a side.

Anyway, you have been highly recommend in pm by someone I respect, and I am interested in your opinions on this case. It is my understanding that you are quite knowledgeable about it.

Thank you. What I think about this case?

I think the road to hell is paved with good intentions...

What I mean is: we had a murder in Christmas time, the BPD did not have as many officers available as they should have for a case like this. I think good will was common to all parties involved.

I believe a general mishandling of the situation created an early confrontation between the parents and LE. From an initial cooperation things went to a strong war of words and actions with the R's lawyering up and LE screwing up and refusing to look at the case with an open mind.

Things only got worse when the murder of JBR become secondary to personal success, political survival and self protection.

At that time, things were way too out of hand and people, within all parties involved, too divided to look at the case and its evidence and often unable-unwilling to collect evidence in an efficient manner.

The investigation was severely flawed since the very beginning and that is at the root of the failure to resolve this case because evidence, information, clues and links are gone for good while people was doing everything but what they should have done: work to resolve this case.

Later on people searching for fame, professional advancement or just simple recognition among their peers made all possible efforts to screw up whatever little LE had to resolve this case.

Sure I have an opinion about who the perp is but also my opinion to that particular is irrelevant because the case won't be resolved, we can't even trust the so called "new DNA" evidence and I don't think it'll stand in court even if we ever find a match.

Now there were may other things in this case: things among principals, among posters, among forums, among groups, among friends, among relatives, among lovers and among enemies. But that is a story for another day.

But there is three thing I am convinced of: Fleet White had nothing to do with any of this, we should not confuse honesty with accuracy and we should protect everyone's rights as an absolute value to which everything else, including justice for an specific case, is secondary.

She's always right. well, most of the time.

Most people is right at least half of the time...I am always more interested in the process than in the outcome of things.

I think that is just a difference in personalities. I am a take charge doer, but that is my style. I have plenty of mousey friends that just leave some things to their hubby's. I have one friend that i am sure would stay home tranquilized. She does not take action, just the way she is.

sad but true.
Ummm, Patsy mousy? If Patsy knew JonBenet was dead during the night I would have expected her eyes to be red and swollen. Not to have perfect makeup on. But I do think she was involved.
