I think they can continue to proclaim their innocence AND remind people to look for little Lisa. It doesn't have to be one or the other.

JMHO

I would think there would be a LOT to say - T-shirts are in, missing posters need to go up here ______, LE is still not willing to meet with us in the presence of our lawyer, etc.

I would love them to keep Lisa in the spot light with daily press releases.
Keep showing the world Lisa's face, so hopefully it can lead to some solid tips.

daily press releases from a defense attorney that represents the family of a missing baby who have not spoken to law enforcement since around 8 october?

really?

and we are to believe these press releases?

Probably those who in general, believe the Irwins will probably believe them; those who see every thing they do as negative will probably not.

Business as usual. ;D

Exactly!

The parents should embrace the community that wants to help them find Lisa which includes local law enforcement officials and the media.

Their community. Kansas City!
Wasn't their local media black out when cousin Ashley was taking the lead? Just sayin......

But, wait - I've seen people here criticize them because they aren't talking every single day in front of the cameras and then when they decide to, they are criticized for that??

I don't think people are criticizing them for speaking out every day, but more shocked that they've been quiet so long.... Now they are doing PR's DAILY, KWIM? Why now? I would have loved to see them doing press releases twice a week, and speaking to local media. Obviously, we're all going to wonder why the about face.

It seems clear to me that the "about face" is that Cyndy Short has gotten traction here, and has begun to fully do her job. She seems to be guiding the family not only as legal counsel, but as spokesperson too.

Now if we could get a daily statement from LE that isn't filtered through the media, I'd be a happy person.

This case sorely needs it's facts presented without the silly media slant. It gets downright confusing trying to sort it out.

PS I know it's not LE's job to keep the public informed. :innocent:

just my :twocents: but I don't want to see them talking to America.. I want to see them talking to the people trying to find out what happened to their child... and I don't care if we ever hear about it (ie, them going to the station, etc).

(respectfully jmhoo):twocents:

I see your point, but don't you agree that baby, if alive, could be absolutely anywhere in the US by now? Think of the incredible power Americas Most Wanted has in solving crime. They get the message out to the US, and people see it and can respond. I'm not convinced, if in fact it was a stranger abduction, that it was someone who would stay local with her.

And I don't think a kidnapper would kill her.

Amen.

And i have to say, it kind of is LE's job to keep the public informed. If they really don't have much that indicates this was perpetrated by the family, there's someone in that community willing to crawl around in the night and snatch little babies out of their cribs. As it is, LE seems to be telegraphing to the community, through what little they say, that their babies are safe because the Irwin's are likely guilty.

If that's not the case, wow, people need to be hypervigilant. : (

I wonder when they will set up a concession stand and start selling candy apples, peanuts and candy floss????

And I spent a good two hours yesterday searching through all the videos looking for where JI/DB allegedly said that they had been yelled/screamed at by LE. (which doesn't seem to exist or has been removed from the web)
So I have made a good faith effort to search myself.

I have kept a word doc copying and pasting links and statements every day, and I keep referring to that as well as the timeline and media thread. If I can't find them there, then I'm respectfully asking for a link, simply to keep the facts and speculation separate.

ETA: Underlined by me.....Oh, now I see it is just speculation on your part. Glad that's been cleared up.

Hopefully today will be the day lisa is found. I still haven't given up all hope yet. :prayer:

I'm guessing criminal defense lawyers are hiring people to scan the social media sites to get what the public is saying. They, then decide to play their game accordingly.

I'm telling you, this will either be the greatest police work involving a crime against a child in the history of this country or the biggest punch in the gut I have ever experienced. I am beyond frustrated!!!!!!:furious: I hope to god that police have a firm handle on this.:maddening:

BBM- Don't these two comments contradict each other? I'm seriously confused. :waitasec:

I went back and corrected that error you mention in the first sentence almost immediately <modsnip>
And . . what is speculation on my part? I'm not speculating that LE has requested to meet with them with out attorneys, I'm citing the attorney statement informing us of that fact.

Man, we live in a different world. I miss cops walking the beat. I also miss fresh baked pretzels w/mustard that you can get on the street corners. I'm getting nostalgic. Sorry.

So now we are getting a press release daily from attorneys? Good grief, we are going to have to have somebody interpret what they are actually saying. They are masters at twisting the English language into gooblegonk.

Makes sense, and is a wise strategy. I really fully believe different LEs have read through this forum before to gauge public opinion too, and see what rumors pop up, and to be honest, get some ideas of possible areas of the investigation that might pay off.

Not really. JMO, it will be pure spin. And probably outdated spin. JMO.

And I hope that I am pleasantly surprised. :)

It just occurred to me that the tweet didn't say when these daily press releases would begin. :floorlaugh:

Their game is going to get so blatantly obvious if they release something every day. I mean O M G, it's the last thing the public needs, it's ALL we've had!

I just don't think the lawyers are that good-- they sure haven't fooled me yet. jmo
