Well we all had an idea that this was definitely a distinct possibility. Ron so loves being in the spotlight as a beleaguered man who has suffered thru the trials of life and comes thru it with the help of Jesus and he wants to show you how to do it to (for a fee of course).

So if this is the case, then Hope was probably off getting a facelift, and no hospital or doctor could comment on that because of Hippa. She could have even gone out of country for it. Then she comes back, all refreshed looking and it is proclaimed to be a miracle of the Lord and Hope is reborn in Christ and she just glows with health (aka facelift and surgery).

This is thoroughly disgusting. There was NO reason for Ron to go so public and to make the claims that he did. he was specifically vague so he can tailor his ever changing story to fit the way he wants to spin it.

Liar,Liar, I wish his pants would catch on fire!!

And shame on Hope for going along with this disgusting charade.

To be fair we don't know that this is the case.
I would not sit I this mans congregation but that does not mean it was all a farce.

I have a hard time believing a woman would allow this dragging her through the mud, to set up a marriage conference.

Not sure.

I keep having troubled thoughts of a nightmare in which Ron's veneers fly off his teeth and chase me around, gleaming evilly in the darkness.

Hi
I'm your newest on here. I've been reading your comments concerning RC and wife and the DNL, etc. I've been keeping up with other blogs as well...but I wanted you to know that there has been an update on his FB page...he just posted it this afternoon. I want to see what will happen next...don't you?

So he (man of God) flat out lied. He said their marriage was over. She is just as bad as he is, if she takes him back, after trashing her the way he did. Man of God? I don't think so!

Apparently, he preached about it this morning. I'm forcing myself to listen to it right now. His hair freaks me out.

I don't think the drama is over...I think he's just drawing a crowd...until his next move. It's going to be really interesting to see what really happened to her. :slapfight:

OK, suffered through the whole thing and the last part..."OK, I'm gonna leave this campus, I'm gonna go git on a plane and Imma try to fix my marriage" (wild applause and amens from congregation).

"I just cannot let the enemy win, I cannot let the enemy win!"
"I'm old school. I gave my heart away one time and ain't givin it away no more"
"I have to believe we are more powerful together than we are seperately"

Bishop Jakes (?) is helping them, going with Ron today. Ron wants God to have his miracle. Ron thanks us for hanging in there with them. The critics have had their day, let God have his day. He's sorry we've had to defend him.

I could type more but it's the same thing over and over again.

It always is with these folks. Watch any cult leader speaking and it is nonsensical. It is their charisma that attracts people. I shake my head at those that choose to follow such a "leader". moo

And once again Ron puts the 🤬🤬🤬 in aPOStle. He is lying, scheming shyster who uses God as a way to get the attention and the money that he so dearly loves. He has to create drama to keep the focus on him.

He has to invent a crisis situation so he can get sympathy and support (and donations). He milks that for as long as he can and when the attention wanes, he claims a miracle and then gets attention and donations for that.

Then he declares that he can lead others thru their similar problems (except that those people have REAL problems, not invented one). Then he sets up pricey conferences, classes (for a fee) and other ways to market his drama.

Repeat as often as possible.

Because he has shown a continuous pattern with this behavior in the past, as swampmama has noted in the post above me, it is hard for me to believe this is not the case here.

It seems there is constant drama in his own life. Whether it is real, fabricated or extremely exaggerated, the monetary donations have increased during these events and so they repeat....so it seems.

On FB he says that Hope "needed" a place to heal and intense ministry. I guess she healed in 3 months from the "worst case ever seen" and now all they have to do is reconcile the marriage. What a load of crap.

I wonder if this miracle from God reconciliation (Ron's words, not mine) has anything to do with their DIL expecting another baby. She tweets constantly about it and I'm no expert, but it looks to me like she announced she was pregnant while Hope was "away for a year" and "in isolation".

Okay I have 2 pastors in my family and know many others. None of them take the week after Christmas off. So I am not sure that will be a good gauge.

Maybe more a regional or type of church thing?

Nearly every one I've been on staff at or know of here - and all that my family members are pastors at - do.

Interesting!

I have to tell you that because td jakes is involved I am more willing to give this credit. I believe him to be a good man. He would not willingly be involved in a sham. Jmo

Small world. MOO.

The TD Jakes that wrote a book on how to soothe the traumas that are particular women? How "women's pain" has caused us to deviate from God's Law in regards to a woman's role. As if he'd understand ANYTHING a battered wife or an abused girl or or an insecure woman has ever gone through?

*snort*

One does not have to experience things personally to understand what it feels like. Especially is they have had close family or loved ones who lived through it.

I don't know what it's like to lose a child but I have grieved and supported those who have. I have held hands and cried and broken open with a dear friend at the loss of her only son.

As one who has lived through domestic violence and came out the other side I believe it is entirely possible for others who have not to understand and help through the pain and the storm.

Having td jakes involved just puts a little more " it's possible " for me on this.

It puts a little more of "it's possible" for me too, but for me, it's more possible it's a huge scam. JMO!

I give everyone the benefit of the doubt until there is proof they don't deserve it.

I believe in the good in people more than the bad.

I find this guy smarmy. No doubt. But I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt at this point that this was not all a farce. I don't believe that jakes would go along with that.

Has it been one year? I ask in all sincerity, I loosely follow this thread. I commend you Scarlett, for giving others the benefit of the doubt, it is a wonderful quality. That being said this man has double talked his way through this entire situation and THAT bothers me profoundly- especially from a man of God. Why open his mouth in the first place to say he would never take Hope back- that his marriage was over? Why say anything in regards to their future with so much to be worked out while Hope was "away"? This is what I don't understand.

I am interested to hear Hope's side of the story... I'll make my mind up then. Until then, I have seen quite a lot of unsavory information about Pastor Ron, thanks to Swamp and others, to give me tremendous pause about the honesty and authenticity of this man. Money is a powerful motivator.

I agree.

As for TD Jakes, he seems a lot more well known than Ron. I read one of his books years ago, and passed it on to a friend. He seemed on the up and up then. It's possible RC has not been truthful to him as well.
