Public assistance sought to locate missing person Patricia Ewens

South Australia Police are seeking the assistance of the community to help locate 73-year-old Patricia Ewens from Port Pirie.

Police believe Patricia left Port Pirie on the morning of Wednesday 18 February after boarding a Stateliner Bus to Adelaide.

Investigators know that Patricia travelled alone to Adelaide and attended the Central Markets the same day. She was last sighted on CCTV in Grote Street, Adelaide at about 1 pm on Wednesday 18 February.

On Thursday 19 February, Patricia’s purse was found on a footpath on Gladstone Road, North Brighton and handed to police. The purse contained identification in Patricia's name and a small amount of cash.

Despite extensive enquires being undertaken to locate Patricia, there have been no confirmed sightings of her since this time.

Patricia is described as Caucasian, slim build with shoulder length grey hair. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing black boots, black pants, a black puffer jacket and was carrying a large black bag which had the words ‘I love Salvos’ on the bag.

Police hold concerns for Patrica due to her age and lack of contact with family, friends and associates.

There is no indication at this stage of the investigation that she has met with foul play.

Anyone who has information that may assist police in locating Patricia is urged to contact Crime Stoppers online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au or free call 1800 333 000. You don't have to leave your name, just tell us what you

And yet it was reported that Patricia normally made this trip to the Central Markets as a 'day trip'. I wonder where she spent Wednesday night and what her intention was for Thursday night accommmodation. She was spotted walking through the caravan park so that may have been her base. She was reportedly in good health on the Thursday evening around 10pm

"What I can say is Patricia was sighted by members of the public earlier in the evening on February 19 at the Brighton Caravan Park, the Seacliff Surf Club and the Brighton Surf Club," she said.

I wonder if she talked to anyone at the bus station or on the bus.

In one photo it looks like her face is turned to another person sitting on the bench next to her.
Someone with a brown bag or it could be a shopping trolley.

I just thought maybe she might have told someone on the bus station what her plans were
and if it was more than just visiting the market.
