Paula was last seen camping with her husband and some friends at the Cripple Creek Campground near Fresh Pond, California on September 3, 1972. She got into an argument with her husband, because she wanted to go to a rock concert and he couldn't go. She angrily left the camper. A female friend went with her, but came back for her coat. When her friend left again, Paula had vanished.
Paula apparently hitchhiked to the concert and then hitchhiked back with two people from Sacramento, where she lived. She decided to return to the campsite, though her companions wanted her to continue with them. They last saw Paula with some "motorcycle types" of people. She has never been heard from again.
