I have never heard the duet with Pavarotti and his dad.
I think I will search for it--how touching.
And little Alice's letter to Papa.....
Yet what a wonderful life and a beautiful legacy he has left.
You are welcome.

Thought you might enjoy this short video of the funeral-less than 3 minutes.
He once said he was very lucky...that God kissed his vocal chords.
A generous, and superbly talented man. He will indeed be missed.
Godspeed, Luciano.

He was truly a once in a lifetime experience. I don't think anyone else performing coming close to him will happen again in my lifetime. A person didn't even have to be a fan of opera to appreciate the gift of his voice. My son was only 8 when he first heard a CD I played, and his first reaction was "whoa Momma look, he gives me goosey bumps!" I showed my son my arms and told him, me too! RIP Pavarotti. Prayers to your family.
