I had to read PMPT three times before I could follow who was who. However, I LOVED the articles.

Photos are a problem - copyright. Besides, some of the best books don't have photos. I offered to let Peggy include photos of me in various poses, but she said it wasn't that kind of book... (I don't know what she meant).

I agree,it would have been nice to be able to put some of the faces on the ppl in the book though.I couldn't out ST's down,it was such a bombshell dropper !
..aw,it would be neat to see a poster in it!

Here's a great source for putting faces with the names of the key players in this case.

I agree with you, Solace, why didn't they bring out the dogs? Figure out what happened to the missing child, then have your pissing matches.
Also, I realize this was Alex Hunter's call, but since he too believed Patsy guilty, he should have wired the house. He said it was not his style to put them in jail to get them to talk, but why not wire the home. Nobody is humiliated and they could just listen. Hunter is such a "little' man.

Well as a Scot, I'm definitely not a spelling and grammar nazi! However, in the larger scheme of things, the odd spelling error is insignificant compared to the text itself. I find typos in practically everything I read (I'm one of these slow people who reads every word in a text), but unless it changes the meaning of the text ("Scotland is a country where keen golfers are never bored" becomes "Scotland is a country where keen golfers are never bred") - I ignore them.

Peggy did an awesome job and that aside, she is a truly sincere and lovely person.

I love the accent however when I was in Scotland many years ago I had to get my girlfriend to interpret, LOL. Her mother was Scots.

I apologize for my nitpicking but it does take away from the book for me...I am still going to purchase it though, can't wait to read it.

I think it's due to his wanting to be relected. John Ramsey had influence as well as money. Hunter was completely on the Ramsey's side imo. LOL, it wasn't his style to put anyone in jail in Boulder was it?

same here,I saw the movie but the book is so long and just drags on and on that I don't think I'll ever read it all...it just doesn't hold my attention for long.I end up putting it down after a few short minutes.A case of TMI I think.
The lack of photos doesn't do it any justice, either. At least a few would have made it more interesting.

Oh good I am glad I am not the only one.

My bf Mike read it in about three days, LOL. He is a retired reporter/newsman and has written his own true crime book (a Canadian story but not published) though so it was easy for him. He can't understand why I haven't finished it, LOL.

I end up it putting it down after a few short minutes as well. I can't keep the players straight...he introduces too many characters at once.

Just to explain - Scots aren't hung up on spelling. The Scots language is rich with a multitude of different spellings for the same word! Don't get me wrong, we do teach correct spelling, punctuation and grammar, but apart from English Language, we don't penalise pupils for spelling errors. Pupils are encouraged to express themselves even if it's in broad dialect. I've come across some wonderful language in national exam papers - written exactly as the student would say it in his/her local dialect!

JMHO but no it was not his style to jail anyone in Boulder that couldn't be plea bargained. But remember his loosing sympathy statements. Whatever sympathy we might have one had.... blah blah. Well that was as close as he ever came. However I think and most Bolderites will if you talk with em will tell you he knew the score. He just believed it was not in his interest to prosecute then loose..... The Ramseys always thought they'd be indicted. Sad isn't it.
Well got to go I am weak from just getting out of the hospital....OY VEY !!!

True.

But then, if you want to keep a secret, don't tell the boss!

Right on both counts!
