What if this was all a ploy of JA and her buds? I would not put it past them at this point. If so, I hope it is proven to be fraudulent at some later date, with the perps held responsible.

idk if she would really do that, aren't all the threats investigated the the culprits tracked down? and wilmont is still an officer of the court and couldn't false reports per her in jeopardy w/ her license?? do you think she wuld put her entire career in jeopardy for jodi?? idk, imo i wouldn't think she would? o mean since there has been a break in the trial it looks like rumors are just running rampant (like wilmont and nurmo tring to withdraw, but i couldn't find any proof to that rumor)

IMO, defense is hoping that by not having Jodi's mom speak for her, the jury will not go with the DP. Maybe to the DT this is their way of giving strength to their mitigating factor of inadequate family support--if the jury sees that happen now they might be inclined to believe it could have been a lifelong issue.

With Patti out as a witness the defense might be switching strategy and have Jodi's family get on the stand and beg for her life. I wouldn't be surprised to see the gear shift.

HLN said they expect one more surprise. Maybe this is it?

Can they just make statements without Juan crossing them? If there is a chance they will be crossed by Juan, I don't expect them to take the stand. They would have to tell the truth. JA has always been a bad seed and has a history of being abusive. The family would have to testify to it. Not going to happen.
