GAH! What happened! I think that the defense is doing what they must to try and protect her. That is their job.. But.... I can not believe they are not calling witnesses.

This is going to call into question the sentencing phase and make it more likely for her to get life.

They are going to give her a chance to file ineffective counsel after the fact and fight the sentencing.

Womack is not testifying because she is afraid of prosecution.. not the prosecutor.

Well they are very cute but they take up a lot of room. Do you have room for a seal in NJ? Don't they have laws against owning certain wild animals? Frankly I don't know why you have a seal...

The ONLY chance JA had to get LWOP. Instead of DP was if her mom got up there and begged and cried to spare her daughters life. (still woulnt work ... But maybe some pity)
There is a reason she's not doing that --- either the defense team, or my suspicion is that JA made that decision.

So I'm wondering if this will be grounds for appeal on the penalty phase.

OMG HLN is going to another commercial. I want to hear what their shouting heads say about this and at this rate it'll be another 1/2 hour.

well the last thing the judge said was that she assumed their client wanted to elocute, maybe they're taking a break before Jodi pleads to the jury for her life.

Just wondering why all her family is there but no one will/can speak for her?
