I believe I heard this is JSS' first death penalty case... However, if I were a taxpayer in AZ I would be pizzed beyond belief over the COST of this trial. $2 Million plus, for what? They need to get rid of the death penalty or have Judges that DO NOT cave to the Defense time after time in the hopes the verdict won't be overturned. Good Lord!

And yes, the Sheriff said NO MORE interviews....okie dokie.

I agree with the cost. I have yet to figure out why these trials are lasting so long. Is it b/c media is backing them? Not all DP trials take most months of a year. It is irritating considering they are all of equal import.

Finally got on site and it took forever.

Can anyone tell me if the jury was dressed up this morning or the usual attire (flip flops?)

OT Broke my knee cap this morning....so I am sentenced to 4-6 weeks of no activity. :stormingmad: :stormingmad:

The only thing I found on all the sites covering the trial was that the juror who usually wears t-shirts, shorts and flip flops was wearing black pants and converse shoes.

Question? Does this jury realize that if they hang a second jury can be seated to decide the penalty? If they know this I say that they will be determined to reach a decision. I just don't think with what they have invested in this trial in terms of time and emotional toll that they will turn this over to 12 new jurors. I just don't think they will. Too much invested.

she hasn't told them that. i don't think they have any idea what would happen. they may even worry she'd get a whole new trial.
i truly believe this jury wants to do this job. i have NO doubt about that.

If anyone is showing emotion, it's CMJA. The look that she's giving JW during their conversation looks tense to me. It seems like she's scolding JW in a way.

I saw her say "right" as in okay, I understand that part. So JW was obviously explaining something to her about the question/procedure.
