Just one of those JA isms that make your jaw drop.
"I don't believe in the death penalty".
Really? REALLY??
Said the executioner?
Well you know, nothing counts when it comes to JA.
Just one of those JA isms that make your jaw drop.
"I don't believe in the death penalty".

Said the executioner?
Lifers who have adjusted to the prison system and don't make trouble are frequently called upon for leadership roles in programming in my state. The reason for that is that it cuts down on training because they are going to be there and because the ones who are looking for something constructive to do with their time are likely to try to do a good job. For example, there are lifers doing AIDS education seminars and assisting in life skills training classes. There's just never enough money for programming and inmates are utilized when it makes sense to do so. Let's say there's a woman who has killed her husband but she's got teaching experience. Why not have her help with teaching inmates who can't read or write? People have a lot of time to think in prison and not every person guilty of murder lacks sincere remorse.
That said, I agree that Jodi is just being manipulative.
Does anyone else notice that horrendous "gulp" sound the convict does when she swallows before she talks? It doesn't sound human and it freaks me the crap out! The first time I listened to an interview with earbuds it nearly made me jump out of my skin. No more ear buds for her interviews. Ever. Never Ever Ever. Blech....
Yesterday ... I was so sad we weren't all gathered together. For a minute I thought you all Broke up Wif' me!! :scared:
Been packing for a move...just got a chance to watch her allocution. She...definitely never misses a chance to make it about her. I was struck by the baby pics. Do all murderesses love their own baby pictures that much? She sounded like she was reading from a refrigerator repair manual...completely emotionless and disconnected.
Hoo boy does she love to mention she's a photographer and an artist. OH did she mention she's a photographer and artist? And she's still living in this fantasy world that she and Travis had this all encompassing love and respect for each other, but were tragically star-crossed lovers or something. Well, they dated for a few months and never even lived together. She has a knack for making something out of nothing and exaggerating everything.

I can't stand her gulp sound!

I've got the great seal
I will first say I don't know the situation so am basing it on partial info BUT:
wow, trust him with your life?
I find it hard to see it as a "snap" if he went and bought a gun, sought them out and then killed them (or just her).
I helped a very dear friend go through the most horrific divorce I could imagine with the coldest, vilest, most despicable ex I have ever heard of. While there was certainly the momentary thoughts of getting the rotten witch out of his life, he knew he had to do the right thing and not become what she was.
Wow, just wow.
Jurors have started arriving according to HLN. Japanese reporters also at the courthouse.
