Quick question....

How is she still doing interviews? I thought the Judge put the kibosh on that with a gag order??

Jurors have started arriving according to HLN. Japanese reporters also at the courthouse.

I am in the hallway at the #JodiArias. Just saw the thinker juror walk in. Willmott is here in dark gray suit talking to Grace Wong.

Lifers who have adjusted to the prison system and don't make trouble are frequently called upon for leadership roles in programming in my state. The reason for that is that it cuts down on training because they are going to be there and because the ones who are looking for something constructive to do with their time are likely to try to do a good job. For example, there are lifers doing AIDS education seminars and assisting in life skills training classes. There's just never enough money for programming and inmates are utilized when it makes sense to do so. Let's say there's a woman who has killed her husband but she's got teaching experience. Why not have her help with teaching inmates who can't read or write? People have a lot of time to think in prison and not every person guilty of murder lacks sincere remorse.

That said, I agree that Jodi is just being manipulative.

And those are good programs when there is someone who's able to step up and be truly helpful.

JMO, JA isn't going to be called on to be the class teacher. She lacks patience, tolerance, understanding, empathy, maturity and good judgment. Her personality and view of life would only cause major trouble and upheaval in any sized group setting. Whatever "skills" she has (tracing magazine pictures?) do not out weight her numerous personality and maturity deficits.

Does anyone else notice that horrendous "gulp" sound the convict does when she swallows before she talks? It doesn't sound human and it freaks me the crap out! The first time I listened to an interview with earbuds it nearly made me jump out of my skin. No more ear buds for her interviews. Ever. Never Ever Ever. Blech....

I can't stand her gulp sound!

Yesterday ... I was so sad we weren't all gathered together. For a minute I thought you all Broke up Wif' me!! :scared:

....it was lonely...:confused::confused:
....and my cats just didn't seem to get my repartee...:cat::cat:
They just sat there bathing and then sleeping as I did my lonely dance and drank my lonely wine......:floorlaugh:

:seeya: glad we're together now...

Been packing for a move...just got a chance to watch her allocution. She...definitely never misses a chance to make it about her. I was struck by the baby pics. Do all murderesses love their own baby pictures that much? She sounded like she was reading from a refrigerator repair manual...completely emotionless and disconnected.

Hoo boy does she love to mention she's a photographer and an artist. OH did she mention she's a photographer and artist? And she's still living in this fantasy world that she and Travis had this all encompassing love and respect for each other, but were tragically star-crossed lovers or something. Well, they dated for a few months and never even lived together. She has a knack for making something out of nothing and exaggerating everything.

I agree, Horace. In her mind, they seem to be Romeo and Juliet, caught up in this tragic love affair, destined by fate to end up in death. Her whole life is one big screen movie. Reminds me of CA in that respect. They both make their lives sound like scenes from popular movies.

Awww! *Hugs* We're all here now for the big verdict! :seeya:

I have a particular way of arranging my screens so I can see the video properly and read the posts on here. Yesterday during closing I kept a blank page on the side just so it's not empty. I was so distracted, checking to see if Websleuths was working again, that I didn't pay full attention to what was being said. I went back later and watched JM again. This time undistracted! :blushing:

Having margarita and it started to down pouring. Stuck at the moment. Guess I'll have another Rita. I expect to have a proper buzz by verdict time.

We'd never do that, AZ. Where else would we find a bunch of whackjobs like ourselves?

Can't help but wonder what Nurmi and Wilmot are thinking about the latest interviews.

I will first say I don't know the situation so am basing it on partial info BUT:
wow, trust him with your life?
I find it hard to see it as a "snap" if he went and bought a gun, sought them out and then killed them (or just her).
I helped a very dear friend go through the most horrific divorce I could imagine with the coldest, vilest, most despicable ex I have ever heard of. While there was certainly the momentary thoughts of getting the rotten witch out of his life, he knew he had to do the right thing and not become what she was.
Wow, just wow.

I have long struggled with the reality of people who snap, how to qualify a snap and how any snap is relevant to a crime... the conclusion I have come to is that a crime is a crime, snap or no snap and I have no sympathy for people who claim to have snapped. Thr same goes for crimes of passion... arent all murders caused by passion????

Sending lots of strength and prayers your way Hopeful One!! I can relate in regards to having anxiety. We have all been through this trial together and I feel as though I know you all, we care about you and I hope you feel better soon! Lots of love to my fellow WSers.

Good morning friends! I am watching like a hawk to see any jury attire reports. Hoping for a verdict soon, but I'd rather wait and have the verdict the Alexander's are hoping for than having the jury come back with life. One thing that can be said : this jury takes their duty seriously so I trust in their decisions.

On a somewhat lighter note, I didn't watch any of the interviews but I got the biggest grin on my face reading that some of them didnt go as the Murderer had hoped. I almost want to watch!

The marlboro man just walked by, not dressed up as usual and had a few bags full of food. The thinker was dressed normally also.
