Can someone with sons who are in athletics or possibly one of our male WS posters riddle me this? I do not have sons. My brothers were cross country runners, my nephews are not athletic. I was only a cheerleader so I am basically clueless.

Would it be or is it a practice that would go unattended for a grown a*s man to be showering with 10 year olds? I dated athletes. I get the whole "horseing around" deal. I do. However, if your kid is on little league or peanut football would it be the same thing?

Asking because I discussed this with a male friend today. Of course he said the man is a although everyone is innocent until their day in court. He then proceeded to say "Are ya fre*kin kidding me? No 10 year old would get into the shower with their coach. Besides when you're 10 the last thing you want to do is get a shower even after practice". Point taken.

Bajeese we went to competitions as cheerleaders on road trips and if one of the coaches got into a shower with us and smacked us with a towel we'd probably have been freaked for life. Then again we were girls.

This poor kid. He turned on all the showers and was running and sliding around? No s*it ya freaky creep. The poor kid was trying to get the heck away from ya. My heart breaks for that poor kid. Where is this poor kid now? I can't even begin to imagine how bad he feels in so many different ways. He may not even know about all of this coming down.

Plus someone asked about missing children? Where is this kid?

Joe Pa stands on the sidelines and shouts, but in interviews over the last 3-5 years, everyone could see his mental acuity declining. (as well as mine...it stinks to grow old). Yes, his brain worked much better a decade ago and he should have punched out Sandusky and then called the police.

NO, boys do not shower with their coaches, their mentors and/or their teachers. Nor their doctors or even their parents after a certain age.

It doesnt matter how Sandusky tries to sugar coat it-he was busted. Children dont shower with adults. Doesnt happen, no reasonable explanation-well, unless it is an outdoor shower and everyone has a bathing suit on, trying to get the sand off.

I have to say I find the accusations against Jerry Sandusky very hard to believe. I have met and know Jerry through The Second Mile. Both of my daughters were a part of the Second Mile program, and it is a great program for kids. I would have never hesitated one minute to allow Jerry to be with my children.

He is being judged in the court of opinions. This man is innocent. I support Jerry 100 percent. I also ask that people please do not judge the Second Mile program. They are a great organization for at-risk children. The adults who run this program are the best counselors available. My children learned so many valuable things by participating in the programs offered.

Again, knowing Jerry Sandusky, I find it very hard to believe that he ever hurt any child that was in his company. Please stop judging him and let our justice system work. I think that when all is out and said and done Jerry will be found innocent of all of this.

I understand this POV, but I am trying to see how it might unfold from 2002 to the present time...so did he completely forget Sandusky was caught by McQueary anally raping a child? I am not being flip with you Pensfan, I respect you immensely.

I played every sport available to me from Little League up through college football. There's never been a coach in the shower with me. There's never been a coach put his hand on my leg. There's never been a coach who popped me with a towel. There's never been a coach who crawled over the top of me to show me his super secret "wrasslin" moves. There's never been a coach who was alone with me at 9:30 at night.

More than anything else, there's never been a coach who had to deal with my mama had they tried.

If you watched Joe Pa last week when he got out of the car at his home, a bunch of kids were there. You can see him stumble over words. He became flustered when he called all the students "guys" because some of them were girls. Then he tried to say "girls", but he was having difficulty with word selection and his brain couldn't quite find that word. "Girls" is not a difficult word to remember. Joe Pa's mental acuity is declining. I will see if I can find that video online and I'll post it here. (This is only one of many statements that Joe Pa has made over the past few years which showed that his mental acuity is not where it used to be.)

Thank you CP. This is basically what my friend said. Save for having a cookout at the end of baseball season or football season they enver even went to a coaches home. Then of course there were 20 kids there as well.

Thanks to your mama as well. She did a fine job raising a fine man.

O/T but not we'd see a Priest do that when the boys were playing stick ball in the schoolyard. Although we were only 10 or so you just knew this chit ain't right. No sir.
